Nice one! See if you can find a picture of the ERF NGC registered HNV-59N which ■■■■ Pountain had for a while (it started with ■■■■■■■ and ended up with Redcap). Cheers, Robert

■■■■ Pountain was a ■■■■■■■ chap and he started with a Ford 16t with a V8 ■■■■■■■ vale and then I sold him a couple of DA 2418sHe was very keen on the Transco when they first came out and we were in touch with a chap called Bart Greany ( spelling) who became a director of a Ford dealer which I can’t remember. Went to Cannock at York Trailers where they were fitting a York big D before they were announced which he had a go in and then we went to Trowel Services to have a go in a couple as Ford were doing a " drive around" and he ordered a couple but being one of the first and the contact with the job.Could he get them could he not.Tyre and Tune were going to have a couple and the same thing.Bought Fiat did them alright I think.Coming back to ■■■■ while were waiting to get the motor out of York we nt across to the Guy dealer whose name escapes me and found that there wasn’t much difference in price

Well spotted mate, the bottom AEC IS the Kilnsey crasher which ended up upside down at the bottom of the quarry approach road. Here’s the original thread with pics: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=80463

I was once told the operator but the name slips me mind right now. Interesting he called in at Longcliffe for a load, possibly a back load back up his way.

Mr Hopkinson regularly carted blocks from Ballidon quarry with that ERF four wheeler, I have an idea that it was painted grey at one time?

Pete.
