When I was there in the 70’s Terry was on a Foden he had the N reg AEC/LEYLAND new it was the one Ivan the Pole had.

Back at the old yard in reddish for the last 26 years ,now Travis Perkins and just semi- retired as tool hire manager although i did go back on the stone run just before Allinson sold up.

Re the Tarmac pic.If it says it was taken around the lancaster area it could have been 1 of 2 Quarrys.1 Leapers Wood 2 Dunald Mill both were in the Carnforth Area.

Just read through this thread again and cannot understand why these three photos havent been added by Tipit (Paul) the lad who started the thread in the 1st place.Photos of his dad when he worked for Thomas Lamb who were regulars around Buxton and Chapel during the 50s/60s and also two motors he had when he became an owner driver.
that green and yellow scammel under the plant looks like one of the grin quarry motors , they were painted in limmer and trinidad colours when tarmac took them over . when grin had them new they had super singles on the drive axles , horrible ride and skittish in the wet .
