Hi Dean and happy Christmas to you and your family.
Bridmins are from just outside Birmingham and mainly do waste specialising I believe in hazardous waste.

H.L.Robinson Transport from 1977.
Hi Dean ,yes indeed i do remember H L Robinson ,and thank you for a very interesting article .
Truth to tell i can not remember those TMs ,as Robinsons were mainly ERFs ,hauling tinplate out of Ebbw Vale fpr such places as Metal Box Aintree ,they back loaded sugar from Tate and Lyle or tinned goods from Heinz at Wigan .
Seem to remember some of their ERFs and Atkinsons ended up with TSP transport at Skewen ,cheers Dean have a great Christmas ,Keith

Looks like a Vauxhall Senator Police car in that photo Dean.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to yourself, Paul and Mark.
Oily
Bedford council also used to run a couple of Foden 8 wheeler rollons to service the tidy tips in Bedford, they now have a couple of Dafs used for bottle banks with a hiab on a roro chassis and a few of the cleansing dept jobs but the tidy tips are now run by Martins with their lorries emptying the containers too.
Hi Dean, a Mainland car delivery driver operating a ‘Transporter Engineering’ outfit identical to the one pictured, was telling me that MCD could no longer order that specification. The wider axles on the trailer (for getting vans on) made the outfit over width for c & u regs. Ministry of transport said they could keep the ones they had, but any further purchases would need to comply with c& u regs. So the driver said.
As Kempston said, Bridmin were at Minworth just out of Birmingham. They also hired out suction tankers.
Already Christmas here, and 42c at 11:30am in WA’s mid west.
Merry Christmas to everyone on trucknet, good health to all.
Colin.
