One from your neck of the woods Dean

Dont see many trailers with doors at the front nowadays, presume they were used for carrying carpets ?

Hi DEANB. Could the Scania belong to Crows 1971 Ltd, it has a North East Reg No. & I believe
they bought out Whites from the Durham area. Cheers pushrod47.

What year was the article? Wondering how old the Scammell was at the time.

Chris Webb:
Chris Webb may know about this ERF as although it says Beefeater on the wind deflector i think it says something else on the door ■■

Morning Dean.

That’s a new one on me,I don’t recall ever seeing a Beefeater Gin tanker before.Unit has what looks like a VS Luton reg plate and I’d guess at the hazchem board displaying 1170 Ethanol (Ethyl Alcohol).Incidentally I think Whitbreads had/have a big site at side of M1 near Luton, maybe Beefeater is one of their brands? I can’t make out the wording on the tank side.

Thanks for your comments Chris, not often you dont know chap.

Kempston:

It could also be a contract unit being used for a different job, happens frequently with some of the bigger companies.

True Kempston.

You could be right about the Scania below belonging to Crows ? The only Crows i know is Crow Carrying with the tankers.
I thought the 112 looked fairly similar to the older 111,bit more red on the 111 ? :unamused:
