Kempston:
Think the name comes from the region in Sweden where they started up but not 100% sure.

:bulb:

Correct Kempston.

In 2018, Nynas turned 90. It is an exciting history of how a small Swedish oil company was transformed into a leading international operator with a focus on special products.

Evening Chris and Dean.

Nynas crept into the British bitumen market back in the early 90’s, they had a storage facility down on the South Coast at Shoreham. They started to get a foothold and then took the leap of purchasing Briggs Oils from the Tarmac group in 1992. this included the refinery at Eastham near Ellesmere Port.
this was one of Reliance tankers that i drove contracted to Briggs Oils. I think this was the Ruberoid Factory at Enfield.

Colin

Certainly looks like a trailer for a specific job, maybe car parts out of Cowley? Not a million miles away from Bicester.

Apologies everyone for the above post. I’ve clearly pressed something I shouldn’t have. I’m not good with technology I’m afraid.

S&A Produce are strawberry growers, operating a greenhouse complex at Marden, Herefordshire. The Volvo pictured has a Hereford reg. I lived in Marden many years ago- long before S&A were there.

Ironically, S&A also operate the former ‘VHB’ nursery at Waterham, Kent- just down the road from where I also lived in Kent.

During my time driving for Harrier Express in Faversham I loaded tomatoes out of the VHB nursery quite often - I’m sure Rowena would have been in there once or twice aswell.

Cheers all,

Keith
