Anyone know anything about the Scania ■■ Not sure what he’s loaded with and it looks like the curtains have been removed
off the trailer as i cant see them tied back ?
Another great set of pics Dean. That trailer could be carrying poultry maybe ?
I wondered that “Suedehead” but cant see any holes for air ?
Talking of poultry heres one going through Lyndhurst in the New Forest. Used to hate following one of these especially in the
summer as they stunk.

Apologies everyone for the above post. I’ve clearly pressed something I shouldn’t have. I’m not good with technology I’m afraid.
Yes you made a fine effort of that yesterday chap and your reply went on for ever.

Nice one Kempston! I’ve taken the liberty of editing it for you. I hope I haven’t left anything out
Thanks for editing Ro.
Thanks Steam. Not sure how many tippers Dennis operated.

S&A Produce are strawberry growers, operating a greenhouse complex at Marden, Herefordshire. The Volvo pictured has a Hereford reg. I lived in Marden many years ago- long before S&A were there.
Ironically, S&A also operate the former ‘VHB’ nursery at Waterham, Kent- just down the road from where I also lived in Kent.
During my time driving for Harrier Express in Faversham I loaded tomatoes out of the VHB nursery quite often - I’m sure Rowena would have been in there once or twice aswell.
Cheers all,
Keith
Thanks for the info Keith, what a coincidence you lived in those 2 places.

“DEANB” Looking at the weather, not the best of days for taking pics.
Anyone recognise the Scania tanker ?
Scania operated by Wincanton on contract to Shell Gas, now Avantigas.
Thanks for the info “tankerian” for the Scania.
Looking at the pic on your profile you drove for Texaco.
They had a depot on Poole docks back in the 70s/80s and used to operate Marathon’s then Roadtrains.
Heres a clipping about some Perkins powered Roadtrains.
