That was originally our Demo at Renault Trucks Reading.P176CRD was an 18 ton yellow rigid demonstrator & P174CRD was a red demonstrator tractor unit - The demo fleet were yellow for distribution and red for long distance.

Out of intrest Richard was that photo taken on the Christchurch A35 bypass as that road still has similar railing and a layby which i think is what

Something a bit different today.

Many of you will have heard of the Tank Museum at Bovington. When i was a kid they used to do a mock battle that was
great fun. Paul also visited during one of the mock battles and heres some pics back in the 1970’s. I will spread them out
over a week.

I expect a few of you may be able to name the tanks/vehicles involved ?

DEANB:
RSL Distribution DAF. Anyone know where they are from ■■?

RSL Distribution - a couple I have taken more recently

Another cold wet day sat under a motorway bridge!!! What I would not give to be there now!!! Can you tell Cabin Fever has kicked in■■?

DEANB:
Meachers ERF from Southampton.

M3 heading South - nice to see a bit of colour still in their livery - although they do have a few now that are mostly white!!!

Think the Harrison article was in a 1984 truck, think its the one with the white volvo f10 volvo livery on cover. I may be horribly wrong tho.

The handyman is untaxed since 1984

DEANB:
Bloody car ! P & C Hamilton tidy DAF from Scoland.

Very good looking fleet

It’s that car again!!! I have a distinct hate of cars and street furniture that just seem to pop up at the wrong time!!!

Harrisons article

For some reason i cant upload the rest as the files too large!!?!

Here is the cover, oct 83 truck

Sorry, Steve

Managed it, hope you can read it.

I’m surprised to see that the Gardner 180 powered Highwayman achieves a consumption of 30 litres per 100 kms (54 gallons for 500 miles). That’s what does a modern artic on flat roads!

Hi Dean ,and thanks for the Bulmers clippings
Quite a few of thier Fodens ended up in south Wales , Sam Bowkett also had a few Robsons of Carlisle examples as well ,regards Keith
