Morning Dean,
Eaglway was run and owned by Mick Ansell from Fort Wallington (think thats right) Havant. Harvey
Hi Dean, Harvey has posted the picture of the Eagleway Freight Renault, and mentioned that Mick Ansell was
the owner of Eagleway Freight. Mick Ansell was formerly the Transport Manager of Percy Powell Transport
from Horndean, and also Transport Manager at Robert Baillie from when Baillies acquired Percy Powell and
the depot at Horndean. During my 3 years as a driver with Robert Baillie, although I was based at their
Wigan depot, I met Mick several times, and I have a chat with him every now and again. Ray Smyth.

Thanks for the pics Harvey and for confirming where Eagleway were from. I bet that was an expensive move with the ferry costs.
I reckon you may recognise this one.

Nice pic John. I wonder if the Merc was a trial motor. I seem to remember them running lots of Ivecos.

Revans Transport was run by Richard Evans,Albert Evans’ son. He did a bit of Benelux work with lift on/off tanks, for a firm based in Marlow.
He also ran a sleeper cabbed Mandator,I tried to find out who the original owner of the Mandator was,it has a 1973 Derby/Nottingham plate.
