British Electric Traction Company Limited, renamed BET plc in 1985, was a large British industrial conglomerate but this was acquired by Rentokil in 1996, and the merged company is now known as Rentokil Initial. In 1956 BET acquired a 20% interest in United Transport Company increased to 100% in 1971. United Transport continued with its freight road haulage business (Bulwark Transport Ltd), and also moved into shipping, particularly containers and tank containers.

J Chadwick ERF would this be Jack Chadwick from Station Road Sandbach? if so he closed up around 2005 after closing his son Gordon moved into his yard with his commercial vehicle repair business but I believe this is now closed also. The yard is now part used by a company who builds and fits cranes to vehicles .

hi dean think the bedford tm colours were cadburys

In the 60 th, Galopin used this famous Saviem JL 20T with a longer than normal sleeper cab.
