Just jumping in on Radio 2, anybody remember Colin Berry who pre-dated Terry Wogan. I think I remember him doing the daily weather reports that took an age but had a nice ‘catchy’ tune playing in the background - I can still hear it now after all these years!
Having a bit of an history of posting ugly motors Dean I’m wondering what you make of this little minky?

Ray Moore in the morning was the best, then on to Capital with Chris Tarrant,
Couldn’t stand Wogan or Jameson if he got his 2nd morning out I was too slow changing channels!

“Ray Smyth” Thanks for your comments about Ray Moore very intresting i did enjoy listening to him and then
Terry Wogan following on behind. As i remember the ■■■■ caught up with him, seem to remember he died of
throat cancer.
Retired Old ■■■■:
Dean and Daibootsy, you will be pleased to know that the excessive amount of Atki photos has proved to be a most effective antidote to the 88-■■■■. All those who reckon that Atkinsons were the best lorry in the world have either never spent six days a week in the ■■■■ things or have started wearing rose-tinted glasses! “Selective Memory”, as the estranged Mrs Casey used to say!
Dont worry “ROF” there alot more of F88 ■■■■ to come.

Texaco operated Marathons back in the 70’s and we have had a fair few on here. When the Roadtrain
came out they then operated them.

Yes, it’s a Leyland Cruiser. A lower powered and lower priced Roadtrain alternative.

Hi Pennineman, Yes, I remember Colin Berry, Colin and Terry and a few others used to have an annual day trip to
the “Mid Herts Golf Club”, I don’t know if much golf was played, but I believe there was a well stocked Bar.
Another co-presenter was John “Boggy” Marsh, who Terry likened Boggy to John of the “John and Janet” stories.
Janet was a pain, she was always bollocking John for wandering off and talking to that lady with ample bosoms,
Mrs. Bickerdyke. I also liked Lynn Bowles, the Traffic Totty from Cardiff, sometimes referred to as Lynn Bowels !!
She was always praising “Brains Beer” and “Clarks Pies”. Fond Memories, Regards, Ray Smyth.

Great shows, I sometimes used to think, i’m Getting paid to sit here listening to this. Good times. Don’t know if I’m looking through rose tinted glasses but those days were better than today’s, weren’t they?
Hi John,
Yes i think your right that’s what I always remeber TSP were part of Silver Roadways…if I remember right they were based on Brisco Truck Rentals place on Gorseinon road back in the 70s …but like you say I’m 100% sure daibootsy will tell us what we need to know.
Regards Mark.
