We’ll keep the homefires burning, Buzzer!
That Henschel appears to have a rabbit-hutch sleeper, unusual on le continent!. Konig was a freight forwarder in Rotterdam docks. What looks at first to be a container is actually a rag-top van body.
Do they still do milk in returnable glass bottles in some areas today ?
There is a small milk delivery firm that, operates out of the Hope valley in Derbyshire.
We just buy all our milk in supermarket thrse days.
The milkman stopped coming here about 15 years ago…just before my 15 yr old was born… (btw a joke! )
Maybe a stupid question, but do milkmen still actually exist?..the ones who used to leave milk on your doorstep ?
This might help
Yes.
They deliver (I think its the same people above?) to three of my neighbours but only once or twice a week, they only have one pint each - not viable in my circumstances.
It must be viable as, they have been around for about three or four years now.
Big use by dates on milk now, you could buy your weekly supply in one go
I know we are turning into ‘Mumsnet’ here😁
But we use that ‘BOB’ milk.
It’s non fat but tastes like semi…a bit dearer than normal though.
No disrespect and my missus is the same we have 2 choices in fridge but myself just can’t use it, i would rather drink black tea then use it, it’s coloured water
I used to use nothing else but full cream.
In fact when I was a kid my gran used to save me the 3’’ of cream off the top of the milk bottle…I may have my wonderful old gran to thank for my good looks.
Now I can not face it in coffee and especially in tea.
It’s either semi or BOB for me.
Only if Bewick is going to rope and sheet it while I’m taking my 45 break
Huh? … …
I wonder if Dennis was stopping for confession. He would get a full shift off if he was
Yes, there are 2 traditional milkmen in Dewsbury
