Past Present and in Between in Pictures (Part 2)

So did I, but sadly I forgot that the basket carrier is fixed to the frame not the handlebars and thus does not turn the front wheel. In a moment of madness I leaned forward to grasp the carrier and, unable to steer for balance fell heavily onto the road and in doing so, scattered steaks all over it.

I spent quite a lot of time picking gravel out of the meat. No complaints were received.

One for CF here. A lot of those Pegasos even had Fuller 'boxes

Picked these up from a Northallerton local F/B page.

Poor old girl doesn’t look too happy about towing a heavy bus.

Chalker Removals (Weymouth) AEC Mercury

I’d post this on the removals thread, but it’s dead these days.

“It’s not dead, it’s resting.”
“Alright, if it’s resting I’ll wake it up…”

He really is the Chauffeur isn’t he, riding boots and all. :grinning:

ta vue n’est pas bonne, c’est boots and leggings monsieur.

As a coal merchant, I guess he got scrubbed up for the photo.

Yep, scrubbed up for any photo was de rigeur in those days. It was probably a Sunday too, which would explain the clean lorry. Or he may just be the owner who has just taken proud delivery. Another, less likely possibility, is that he normally drove a Landau or a Hansome Cab and was grading up to the then-equivalent of Class 1. Perhaps the lorry was parked up and the chap just photo-bombed it on his way to the Fox & Goose. :cowboy_hat_face:

 I’m going with the photobomb theory.

Let’s not let a bit of overstatement and rose tinting detract from the interest.

Nice cover pic, but the video is absolutely littered with glaring inaccuracies and I lost count of the mismatched pictures to script. The C, CP, E and EC were all one model according to the opening footage. Hopeless!
