What is the load on the Silver Roadways Foden ■■ :open_mouth:
If they are hides/skins they’ll never get to the destination.

My very first backload when I started tramping was from Silver Roadways, 2 collections of cases from E. London for 2 drops Bath and Bristol.

The first of many throughout the country over many years.

A Scammell low loader carrying an Industrial steam locomotive in Manchester.
The registration number, GKC 295 is from Liverpool, perhaps it is one of Pickfords.

Have seen the Tate and Lyle 6 wheel Foden picture before.
Taken during WW2, i believe the driver lived to a ripe old age
only passing away a year or so back… Great picture.
