A bit about Suttons.

That pic of the Austin is definitely in Oz. It’s night a soil (■■■■) man. My poor old mum was sat on the bog one morning when the bloke got there a bit earlier than normal. He opened the door at the back and whipped the can out to replace it with an empty and called out “morning love.” she was bleeding mortified. These blokes used to usually take two empties from the truck, change the first then hop over the fence to next door and do the second one… occasionally tripping arse over ■■■ on the fence with the inevitable pile of crap left on someone’s grass.

Nice old Pickfords truck, Buzzer

The Americans really did came up with some odd designs and wacky ideas over the years didn’t they…?

Here’s some more…

The bottom one is in OZ i think,!

Thanks to tyneside, DEANB, Buzzer and coomsey for the pics     fine input.

Been puzzling as to what make this Buzzer pic is and looking at 1930s/40s american stuff I would hazard a guess at a GMC, could be a Chevy  open to other suggestions :bulb:

interesting photo of the LAD Comet, apart from its load, the batteries have been re-located on to the chassis from the cab.

The cab on this Chevrolet looks quite similar to the Buzzer pic.

I think it might be a Reo

Oily got it right, its a 1940’s Chevy COE Truck although this one was registered 1950 Westmoreland, you can see the name on the grille badge easier in this pic. Franky.

Found this morning on a French forum. A bonneted Leyland, a Leyland which looks like a futuristic prototype, and a beautiful Scammell. Brussels Truck Show 1981.

A mistake occured; here’s the prototype!

Some more Leyland Landtrains.

Were these Landtrains available on the British market, or only for export?
