Frankydobo:
Yeah all gone now Tyneside, you would have thought they might have kept something of the old studios even if it was Student flats like every other old building in Newcastle seems to have been turned into! The Egypt Cottage next door (which was also earmarked for demo) was the watering hole of many of the staff and visiting celebs, that must have seen a downturn in customers when ITV closed down. By the way Egypt Cottage was named from the area being known as Little Egypt because of the huge piles (pyramids) of grain or spices placed on the Quayside from ships. Franky.
Frankydobo I didn’t know that one! As they say you learn something everyday !!!

1925 and a well loaded Federal, also a 1943 Federal being started with an inertia starting handle, a new one on me. youtube.com/watch?v=2LsVXPDUaCo
Impressive that inertia starter, but not as impressive as the air starter on my old B62 Mack I reckon.
With the pressure of 46 tyres to call on, if needed, there was never a chance that the engine wouldn’t start.

Wynns outfit parked up
Picture was cobbled together from a couple of 110 prints.
It took me a while to learn that the 110 was near useless
though to be fair i wasnt really interested in photography.
I had bought it to take on holiday, a tour of California,Arizona and Nevada.
some years earlier. I should have realised then it was a mistake.
Hi John have you found anymore photos from Sturge or Bennett’s, Peakstone or Ashwood Dale ? Thanks Dan .
Hi Dan

I had a Borderer with a 240 in her that might have put that to the test Spardo

The Borderer that I had at Econofreight with a ■■■■■■■ engine was a bugger to start in the winter, often totally refusing, running out of battery power, after the use of Easystart was banned. I never could understand why air starters didn’t take on, infallible with air power instead of the limited potential of batteries.
Any idea of the make & model of this truck, which looks like it was built on a bus or coach’s platform? forum-auto.caradisiac.com/automo … 1-7770.htm
Sure one of you will know more… Thanks.

A Bristol bus chassis early 1940s, not sure about the cab, looks a bit similar to AEC of that era:?

Have done a bit of digging and found this the history of when it was a bus and with conversion to lorry. bristolsu.co.uk/l/operatorde … cwy975.htm

Saw this on FB, I cant really believe it actually happened but if it did what a result and laughing just thinking about it, Buzzer
I wish the French could be so inventive, instead of burning down the speed cameras, which are each time repaired or replaced with the taxes we pay, and which would get better use in heath expenses, for example.

Not so easy in France though, Froggy, where the number plates are (supposed to be) riveted, not screwed.
But with my first car I registered here I just stuck the new plate over the Brit one with double sided tape. Lasted many years until a drunken passenger slammed the boot lid down too hard and it dropped off.

Yes Deanb, it was a well used Bray. It was replaced not too long after the pic was taken,.

Yet again the limits of the 110 camera are all too obvious.
