Are Roberts ,of Knighton still going ,it looks like they had a very big fleet ,i remember i used to see them every where i went ,used to see artiks ,8 wheelrs 6 wheelers ,tippers flats ,little T KS ,Flats with sideboards on ,u name them they seem to run them ,have seen some photos of there yard ,a heck of a fleet Yours Barry

Hi Barry,
Roberts sold up in the 1992.Sadly Gordon Roberts didn’t have mmuch retirement,he passed away about 12 months after selling up quite suddenly.
Roberts Transport ran about 90 vehicles from Knighton,Swansea and I think Southampton. We will never see a fleet as big as Roberts in Mid Wales again,as we are to far off the motorway network.
