Cheers, Leyland 600

He’s planning on reversing all the way to London. Someone told him the tank would fill back up with fuel if he went backwards.

Danne, that is a lovely looking outfit…Do any of the trailer axles steer?

Cheerio for now.

Hi Saviem! Yeah the 1 and the 4 stear, its if im remember right 18.5metre long. Håkan is a true gent and always time for a laugh! He hauls concret produkts from the south of Sweden to the middle of our long country and then always loads steel from Västerås down back home.

Danne

Hi ROF, Never thought of that however with the step up box fitted in those HD 55s etc in high reverse selected it would not take long.
Cheers, Leyland 600.

Aye nae doot, Leyland600, one of the topics I enjoyed about our Fri craic was his aquaintance at some time or another with all these old family haulage firms in the area, there wasn’t a lot of people he didn’t seem to know.

Thanks to Buzzer, pete smith and Dirty Dan for the pics    a wagon like that would certainly cause a stir on the highways of the UK Danne.

Spring has sprung here in the north, tho’ a 180 degree turn would still show a heavily snow capped Ben Wyvis.

Few random pics from Washington. Used to go past the army camp every day on the way to school. It all disappeared under the New Town. RCA built a record factory on the site and it is now a B&Q

Sandbach firm on the A96 at Dalcross, not sure about the Lancastrian rose tho’.
In my time there were good digs at The Iron Grey pub in Sandbach, right opposite the Foden Works, mine host was a Mr Stallard. Parking was in the Market Square, close by.
