This is vexing me, does the rear wagon get loaded first, the unit get jackknifed and the front wagon loaded from the front onto the supported ramps :bulb:   :bulb:

Hi Oily, I reckon the front wagon gets loaded first with the ramps resting on the angled stepframe then lifted by built in hydraulic rams but I could be wrong.
Cheers Leyland 600.

Wishing you all on Trucknet UK a Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.

That’s a cracking photo Leyland600,.The old Whitehouse Chicken Farm is now a sort of adventure center with various kinds of animals, Linder Slater is more or less running the place, Old Kieth is still about and lives at North Shields, Sadley his good lady Shelia passed away some months ago, They were a nice lot of people to deal with as perhaps I have mentioned on this thread a while ago, Anyway all the very best for Xmas & The New Year, Regards Larry.

Thanks Lawrence, Yes I called to see Keith at North White House this time last year after delivering my wife to the restraunt at the old St Mary’s Hospital for a Christmas lunch with former Ponteland College friends. Keith was at NWH havinghis dinner and we had a good chat about old times and the tribulations of poultry farmer egg producers and the hauliers supplying them with feed. He is losing his sight now.
Have a good Christmas, Leyland 600.

A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you Leyland 600.
Regards Dave.

Hi Leyland600, a lovely greetings scene all the best for this Christmas and beyond to you and your good lady.
I’ve found the answer to my earlier question re the Matthew Key wagon, the ramps (magnified ++++) I could see were resting on some sort of trestle, found another pic of the same motor, different load and ramps down and with a close up, you’re right, hydraulic rams and locking pin supports.

Or if you think you have enough room hang it off the back lol. I did give him a hand as remote for the winch wouldn’t work and he didn’t have a jockey wheel ramp. Got there in the end as he couldn’t speak much Forest and not sure were he came from lol.

Merry Christmas Ade

Hi Ade, Forest lingo would’ve sounded like Double Dutch  to the Theo Faassen guy, anyway cheers for the pics and good on you for helping him load.

Don’t know anything about SISU but it is a mark I have always fancied having in tractor unit form, they look very rugged but would have to be working in Finnish winters. Don’t know what engine they have or drive train, and I have not seen one in Britain unless some one knows different, Buzzer.

There was a Finnish mob working internally in Saudi 1977/8 they had SISU,s from memory they looked similar to the big Daf,s of that time !!!

My brother used to live in Finland and I have spent weeks photographing their wagons. I saw Caterpiller and ■■■■■■■ badges on Sisus but don’t know a lot about them. I think the Finns are to be congratulated though for buying home built stuff.
