hiya i did 670,000klicks with an FL10. i thrashed the life out of it. over reved it .run it at 38 ton all the time and it never give up.
we did 3,000 klick each week and it never had a new clutch. plenty of front brake drums not always shoes ■■?.
with the bed i put a length of 3x1and half timber under front of the bunk i never fell out…still no room. did you see the dutch
globe trotter FL12,s they did look ok. 10 inches more headroom.

We ran a batch of 8 not one of them made 500,000ks without having a gearbox replacement head gasket problems rear axle failures and has for the brake drums I think the ones we had were made by Cadburys the motor factor ones lasted longer than the Volvo genuine ones
And has for air valves I could go on for ever
Ours spent more time back at Volvo than they did on the road

Thanks to Lawrence Dunbar, adr and servo88 for the pics

Hi servo88, your pics are quality, my own takes are point and shoot(except for dashcam) sometimes a hit but mostly second class. That Oliver’s livery has got to be up there with the best, here’s another.
Oily
