I presume thats the driver holding the load up,if he let go . .would it all fall off?

yep - got to be a Zodiac (the Zephyr had single headlamps) and the executive had a thing on the bonnet that stuck up like a Mercedes - but it was rectangular
Any info on this ADR1? bales are never easy to load but they looked to be solid
Does anyone else think that he was a bit of a muffin to put the bottom layer on their ends?
Hi Rof, the whole load is a f–k up, top tier drops through second tier and pushes the lot out, and yes Ramone they were solid didn’t need much rope when loaded right, probably his first load, as we all made ■■■■ ups on ours, only his dropped off,
Les.
Looking at all the mills in that photo im going to suggest Accrington or Burnley areas ?. possibly James Dewhursts as i used to take bales into them like no Tomorrow.
I often wondered how Hollands managed to keep their fine fleet looking so clean. Their tasty pies were watertight` , - no gravy leaked , even when hot.
It looks like competition to the Scampi Fries Leyland Roadrunner television advert.

Christ do you know how long that had been in there?
That wasn’t in there very long. The poor old driver reversed back a bit too far with a full load of grain & gravity done the rest. If I remember correctly he got out ok.
