hi gary coles was a big employer in the area, still have a pint with a few of their ex employees, clarks and spoors did a lot of work for them , freeways used to take quite a bit of gear in their aswell, do you not have anymore photos of wesleys dodgy jackets , i will have to give him a bell when i get home, are you still on the fridges gary. is ernie still about. i still see mick nairns every now andhi mark, i havent seen ernie for years, is mick still on the rigs? another photo of wesleys dodgy jackets!

cant make out the name on the ford, i dont think anyones mentioned wearside carriers, they had grey d series 4 wheelers, or g.o. mitchells from hendon with leyland 4 wheelers

hello gary yes mick still on the rigs in the north sea, it has to be 15-16 yr ago since i seen ernie i remember it was my 1st week at RTH-international did not see him down the road i seen him at the garden centre at washington.

Two good photos of the Tyne here marcus, the first one showing the Flat Iron hopper barge "Bessie Surtees headin downriver from Stella power station with ash and the second photo showing a Tyne Tees shipping company coaster with a name ending in xxxxxxxxx COAST moored at the company wharf.

It could be The Frescian Coast, it was in every week at Gateshead Wharf, loaded with Dutch butter,bacon,cheese,plus general cargo, Regards Larry.
Yes Lawrence very likely, the skipper at one time was Captain Arthur Davidson who lived in a bungalow at Seaton Sluice at the junction of the Blyth - Seaton Sluice and Seaton Delaval road.
