Hi Nick,
I don’t have any pictures of Dicky, sorry. I think he drove a C or a D reg scania? My dad is away but when he gets back, i’ll ask him which one. I’ve got loads more photos to put on here when i get my scanner replaced!
Has any one got photos of Ridleys Transport Bk.Condercum Rd. they also had a cafe at Swallwell. They had some twin steer tippers at one time , then some Andy Cap Guy artics, the last wagons I saw was a 6w. Scania,& a 6w. Daf.working out of House of Mayfair Cramlington, Edgar, & Toby drove the latter. Regards Larry.
Re. Smiles for Miles, I still have a few photos left to put on to the thread, I was wondering if any of the drivers from Smiles are still about, there was some older ones than myself, but there was a few my age & perhaps a bit younger. I know quite a few have passed away. but I do know there are a few still knocking about. So put the word out lads & lets see what happens. Cheers Larry.
