This was a bad day at kirkheaton. driver Johnny Ballantine was not a popular man and once told me “in all the years i worked for the Proudlocks i never saw Geoff as mad as he was this day”

Bit of a blow that Marcus, bet the offshore pay packet was a bit heavier than the RTH one will be but so long as your’e still in collar that’s the main thing, best of luck mate.
thanks harry long retired.

hi harry

thanks for that, it was just good to get a job straight away, RTH are quite good wages, it will probably be the time off i will miss at first, but at least the wages will be coming in.

Hullo Mark,
I’m really sorry to hear about you being layed off, especially as you’ve been waiting for the ship to come out of Dry Dock. But of course pleased to hear that you’ve managed to get straight back into work. I am just about to be thrown out of Brasil, apparently I’ve stayed here too many days and I can’t come back for a year. I was lucky too, I rang Steve Ward of Ward Bros in Middlesbrough and I start on weekends the second week in March. Give me a Flash as you pass and I’ll buy you a Coffee. Best of Luck.
Cheers, Archie.
