Kevin,
You missed your old motor the red 7.5 tonne Cargo in the background. Last time I saw Bobby Cook he was at Murry Hogg’s but think he moved to Ramage’s but not sure.

Still at Murray Hogg.

Just been looking back at the get together van hee’s men had at the labour club no talked about one man in the picture’s mickey finley.A few year’s a go i was a bus trip around germany this day sitting on side of the rhine watching the world go by ,heard this geordie voice behind turned round big mick and his mate doing tour busses to germany they had the afternoon off so arranged a time for german beer testing on the night ,good geordie crack and a few beer’s in a place where they canit talk propa like us. bob

colin cowens volvo fm

i was looking at that getogether as well, was that colin cahill in one of photos .

sed ak strato i got that came from the north east i traded in for a scania 8 wheeler at purfleet last seen working out of a quarry at buxton

Nev Kemp did work at railway st scania, just spoke to him.Told him reg of the 110 in the pic and he knew the truck and the operator, fountain of scania knowledge there for people mind.Back to the grady hall info,Gordon Seymour moved into the yard at dykes head, burnopfield after they moved.Awkward place to get an artic into mind especially if you came in from the hobson end as the trailer wheels went down the steps on the path it was that tight!Happy memories there.

Here s some more of T F Cowen wagons

Hello hodgeturbo
Who s was the sed ak ? Was it Owen Pugh, they had a few of those. The only other one who had one round here was Tony Hall but his was an H reg with a bulk body.

Tony Hall s sed ak

Tony also had an 8 wheeler foden with a Scania 113 engine in it can anyone remember that.

Cheers Bowserman, I thought I’d took the wrong turn with that one and Patterson and Slaters were later. Franky.

When i worked for R&R Hands we used to tip at Armstrongs at Rowlands Gill early mornings and there was often a Paul Hodgson scania artic tipping there, would that of been you. And the last few weeks i worked there i was taking fly ash from alcan to Little Broughton Maryport and back loading sand from Armstrongs quarry at Overby Aspatria, I enjoyed doing that job.

I’m surprised you had time to tip and load anywhere Sid, what with taking all those photos. You must have spent most of your wages on film and developing!

I’ll second that Sidd. Anyway I’m not a proper Mackem, was born in the ā€œQ-Eā€, I’m only here on a spying mission!!!
PS how come there’s been no Murray Hogg pics on here, does nobody want to admit working there or are they too busy to post any.
