Gutted I missed the get together Monday, due to a stinking cold which reared its ugly head on Boxing Day, seems there was a lot of old faces I would have liked to have said hello to again, really good that a lot of ex and current drivers can get together for a good old natter. If Easter will be the next one I’ll dope myself up to make sure I don’t miss it. Good pictures by the way. Franky.

I used to service an N reg Borderer. It had a Kirkstall front axle as I remember it cracked through at one of the u bolt holes.I seem to remember talking to an FTA inspector who said that was a common fault with those axles.
I often wonder where that unit went.It belonged to W & M Watson of Broxburn who had it from new.

Not KSC 999N?

Here’s a few more pics when i had my “fleet”

Nowt worth watching on the telly so I’ve had a rummage through my old photos and found these.Mostly taken at shows so not many working lorries but still they may be of interest to somebody.

Hope these are OK

Do you think or know that is the reg or are you asking me?
I cant remember the reg.Somewhere I should have my old diaries which will have it.The Watson brothers are long gone but Ive heard recently that Dougie who drove the Atki works for one of the Watson girls and I have a number for her.I often see Tom who drove the other lorry and he might remember too.
