Allan, that would be R Hanson from Wakefield.
New to R. Hanson, Newmillerdam, Wakefield their vehicles were much sought after second hand and appeared in many tipper fleets. Here is a photo of the 20,000 Atkinson built and supplied to Hansons. Now preserved seen here appearing at a rally at Threlked, ■■■■■■■ in 2018.

Some great old pics from Tyneside, the Washington Chemical Co Albion was of interest to me, at that period my Grandfather worked as a Labourer at the works and used to load these wagons, as you can see by the lads posing for the pics it was a dirty, dusty job, he also had to brush out the warehouses including the rafters and needless to say without any masks in those days. He later went on to drive the works Steam Engines before retiring in 1968 just after the first Diesel loco’s came into use. He died in 1996 aged 95 despite the effects of the environment he worked in for so long. Franky.
great pictures tyneside, the one of Roys of birtley was taken by myself, its my stepdad Matty Dorman driving, it used to be on for Caterpillar at birtley, down to Palmers galvanising at Hebburn and back, happy days
