I too am having a tipple as we speak Larry and will be taking quite a
large one up the wooden hill the missus has gone first to warm the bed
she thinks my in bed drink is 50/50 single malt and lemonade little does
she know I’ve been telling her porkies for years and consists of nowt but
Glenfiddych good job she’s a tee-totaller and never asks for a gobfull or
you’d see my next posting in the obituary columns of the Evening Chronicle.
thanks harry,long retired.

The Hennry lads motor, West Houses, Regards Larry.

Lawrence Dunbar:
Harry dont you believe it, you can tell a good single malt from 20 yards with your eyes closed, the same as me, we may be getting old but we still know what the good things in life are, Eh, Regards Larry

Defo & there are some good offers on atm in Morrison so might just have to stock up in case

Ang, do you prefer a tiple or a triple, or both perhaps, Regards Larry,

That would be telling

You are still dangling that carrot   nice bike btw

Spotted one of Crowbars GUY’s GCN 647G on a programme tonight about the beginning of the Motorways BBC 4, it was on the old 62, probably around Standedge area. It also blew away the myth about the Farmhouse inbetween the carriageways, in that the owners refused to move. Truth was the ground around the farm was too unstable so the motorway had to split anyway. Good programme, its been on before but nice to watch the old footage. Dads favourite MP Barbara Castle was on too, I remember as a kid the air turning blue at the mention of her name!
Cheers Franky.

Hi Franky I have been told about the program but not seen it yet, the driver was Dicky Redpath Regards crowbar

GRAVEL PIT HALTWHISTLE

Excellent photos.

I bet your dad and uncle Albert love that one of them !!! I worked on all of those except some of the early F7’s. I remember Gordie lee coming in to the workshop to change some filters one sat morning and your dad sending him out with that last new F7. C897LNL was Derek Caterer’s motor new then it passed to the late Derek Laing (the Jockey) and I think if that is C899LNL being loaded by pugh’s then it is Tommy Wise. any one recognise the names of these guy’s ■■ Keep up the good work with the photos. Keith.
