Anybody else seen the blue and red Scania 112 still working out in the east hull villages, Beautiful sight old school livery usually pulling a low loader
It’s not DH Turners from Skirlaugh by any chance is it?

Whatever happened to Tozers ,i can clearly remember seeing their blue & white volvo s loaded with bricks heading north back up the A1 ,always thought they were a nice colour even though the lorry s were quite old ,i remember speaking to two of their drivers separately, one said Tozers had 81 vehicles , then the other chap said they had about 18 , i remember seeing some New (G REG) Volve Fl10s then they just seemed to disappear.

I think there were two Tozers in Hull, Mike Tozer and Sam Tozer who were both in haulage. I don’t think either of them are still involved.

I don’t think MH Tozer ever had a “large” fleet, they used to be based in Lambert Street off Beverley Rd IIRC and also used to leave trailers in Blakeys yard on Hedon Rd.
I also remember that the boss was referred to as Sam Tozer
Somewhere I have a poor quality photo taken at the Lord Mayors parade which I’ll dig out
