The day cab was the first F7 in Hull supplied by Crossroads, but you’re right it was one of the trucks part exd against the 5 that carried the red and white livery.

i remember seeing Browns from Beverley with that Hull-London advert on the headboard and I think there was a picture of an elephant’s head as well.
Wheelnut Malc will know

hi chris the elephants head woz on the headboard top-perhaps hes not a trunker-alan

Hi all…the elephant head which was on the headboard was for ‘trunk deliveries’. Browns did general haulage and also contracted to Armstong Patents of Beverley. They where originally based on Victoria Road in Beverley, next to the East Yorkshire Barracks, then moved on to Somerden Road in HUll. Browns is no longer. My great grandmother (Emily Brown) started the business.

Never did general haulage but i towed many of the Hull Motors in over the years.

As I understand it Goodwins took over / bought out LTC Hauliers but retained their livery

Anybody else seen the blue and red Scania 112 still working out in the east hull villages, Beautiful sight old school livery usually pulling a low loader
