I do believe so yes.

Lance Biscomb:
D 252 DRF is a stoke on trent reg, who was it registered to when new :bulb: :astonished:

If it wasn’t a Co-op motor, they had some very close to it

I have a feeling that it could well have been one of Shirley’s.
They did have a few F12’s that were D*** DRF.
Although it has been known for me to be wrong.

Almost definitely supplied new by Hartshornes.

Keep us informed when you find out. Would be nice to know.

It as had a illuminated headboard some time in its life .

Before I retired I was in engineering with my brother, we were kiln builders based in Cobridge and we used Longton Crane Hire a lot for our big lifts, either transporting new equipment from our yard or moving equipment from pot banks for export or relocation. This was up until I retired eleven years ago.
Shortly before I retired Longton bought a new crane, something like a 200 tonner, biggest crane in Stoke at the time, when they were practicing with it in their yard and had the jib on maximum height, you could see it from miles around.
I have many pics of Lontgon Crane Hire in action, I will dig some out.
We used the big crane when we installed some ex Portmeirion kilns into Burleigh pottery at Middleport, requiring a big crane as we had to lift from the car park over some buildings through the roof of another, we had the Sentinel there taking pics, I did have one copy of that I’ll try and look out.

Blimey Ian, you’ve had a varied life full of career switches. Is the book out yet. Let us all know when it is if not. Jim.

Hiya…D 252 DRF how about Barry Proctor on the brick job he had some big tackle.he would be an Hartshorns man
Lance has this lorry always been a white cab what colour chassis…come on you stoke lads did ANC have a fleet
of 12s…now how about Bailey,s the red ones he has the Scania now…how many of you remember the football

As soon as we surf the internet and looking for the jammer products we can see that there are various types of signal jammers that are for sale in the market now such as the Prison Signal Jammer, GPS jammers, wifi jammers, UHF jammers, the multi-functional signal jammers and so many others kinds of signal jammers for sale as well. And what people now need to do is just select the best one according to their needs.

It could have been one of Lee Durose’s motors, or maybe a Mosspak one.
Or possibly Barry Proctor… both are still in business so only a polite phone call away.

Hiya i think Ant has worked at all those firms, he looks on quite often so would have come up with a name.
i know of a owner driver from montgomery who pulled for BET who had a Volvo ill ask a pal at the weekend
if it was his…Lance you can send £15 to the dvla for a original log book…but i don’t want you to its a bit of
fun stirring up the grey cells. what about Morritt from Ashbourne he run white motors.

Ref D252 DRF I’m a ANC/FedEx man don’t recall them having Volvo f12s at that time was manly ERF e series and p can 2 series scanias… But I,ll check with some of the old boys when I’m work tomorow…the only Volvos I remember was FH,s and they were m reg year 95…but like I say I,ll ask…some other brick firms what about bob purewell or brick delivery services…and I know they had globetrotters later on but didn’t LRC products opposite ANC/FedEx at Chesterton have a fleet of f12 Volvos around that time…

Ref LONGTON transport my uncle Cyril barker worked for them for many years after he left the army they were a big group then…

What about Maurice Nield transport at audley did they run any Volvos at that time■■?

Hiya the chap i knew who worked at Knight and Riley was a friend of a friend. this chap was a quiet cockney
but was a rouge in disguise…he’d done a couple of trips to Italy in a FFK bmc(about 1969)then got a new Commer
(might have been a maxiload)it had twin headlights. on his way home he come across another chap (Italian)with a
damaged truck the same model (Commer) this cockney sold the front o/side. the lights bumper mudwing and door
to this chap. anyhow the lorry got back to the uk and was put into a garage for repair.(half the cab missing)
the cockney told Knight and Riley someone had run into him and he’d taken the damaged parts off for safety
Longton told the driver to make his way home. he did he called a taxi…£35 in 1969. maybe 2 weeks wages.
so another driver is going to Italy. he sees this Commer a bit knocked about with a new Knight and Riley front corner
and door (still with Knight and Riley stoke on Trent written all over it)
the chap never painted it out…that was the end for the cockney driver, he was up the road without a truck.
