Wheel Nut:
Best of luck Dave. There will be a pint on the Hotel bar for you when you get back on your feet. You make it sound like routine, yet I am only in for another MRI on Tuesday and I am already on the Diazepam.
Nice to see you through to the next stage Dave, fingers crossed that they get you a date soon & they’ll soon have you all sorted out, - & back on your feet in no time

And a pie… or two
He may need more than one or two pies, last time they starved him - wasn’t there a picture of a skeleton (wanted) poster on the wall Saw a Pint cup in town - only it was PINK,…pity they didn’t have a blue one , could have put it on the bar for him, alongside a DD pie
shuttlespanker:
Best of luck with the op Dave, hope all goes well and you get a date soon
We have got another one of THOSE pies in ready for when you are next over here
Cheers for that Rob
Well, I can now announce that I’ve received my call-up letter.
I’m sure there’s nothing in it, but I have to go in on 1st April, and the op is scheduled for the 2nd April, provided that there are no emergency admissions in the meantime.
It’s good to see you now have a date for your op Dave, they’ll soon have you all sorted & good , & you’ll be fine and back home in no time .
Very best wishes that all goes well & for a speedy recovery.
I received a phone-call from the hospital on Monday.
They asked me to visit to see both the anaesthetist and the surgeon.
I’ve been, so the result is that my op will go ahead as follows:
Arrive on Sunday (1st April) to be booked-in and admitted.
The actual op is listed for 2-6 hours starting first thing on Monday (2nd April) morning followed by an expected stay of 3-5 days, so I may be away for some time.
As soon as I feel up to it, I’ll post up on how I got on with it all.
