Surely nothing to do with OP being a female[emoji849]

I have my doubts

Does it matter whether male or female to you Dipper…Provided they are willing and like handcuffs.

To be fair it’s more believable that a female would be more likely to be unjustifiably, but understandably being a female, distracted by a person on a crossing,to the point of running them over regardless of if the lights were green or amber or even red.

While a male would be more expected to be justifiably distracted by a good looking bird waiting patiently to cross the road at a red crossing light,to the point of running into the car or even bus ahead if the lights change,or even the car or bus waiting at the red lights just ahead of the crossing. :smiling_imp:

I went through one just as you come off a1 at Stevenage , saw it change but I just thought what the hell, but I’m sure it flashed so then thought ■■■■■■■■ , never heard anything , same as drove up bus lane in Wolverhampton with cameras and never heard anything , bus lane in Notts and heard nothing , weak bridge in hull , nothing , etc etc , don’t worry love you’ll be fine.

I got distracted by woman in high heels and tight skirt running about on a garage forecourt when I was filling by van with diesel. Two or three mile down the road the van started to cough and splutter, I looked at the receipt for the fuel, and it said £60 petrol… . SIXTY F’n POUNDS

That’ll teach ya for thinkin like Dipper !

Willing is optional, in fact mildly resistant is preferred.

I love you Jeanine

I’m from nottingham Paul

He wasn’t asking where YOU were from. He was asking where you got the impression you wouldn’t be eligible for a driver awareness course.
As I’ve already said - it doesn’t matter if it’s after 1 second or 1 minute, the offence is still the same and so are the penalties.

IF (and it’s a very big if) you have been caught then you will be treated exactly the same as anyone else who has run a red light regardless of how long it had been red for.

scrotumscratcher:

albion:
You might get done, you might not, what is the point of worrying about it before hand?

Dipper, you aren’t getting a pic of me in a bikini :open_mouth:

dipper, i’ll sell you some pics of albion if you like , ive got waterskiing on the manchester ship canal £3.oo each, and rellaxing in garden taken from west bank with long lense for the same price

And finally I get myself a stalker

She doesn’t see it like that though. Apparently she is “better” than the others who run red lights and not like them. She had a reason see.
Now she’s flounced off because she wasnt treated differently on here because she was a woman

God, the Father of mercies …

None of us are perfect and so we all make mistakes. Learn from them and improve your driving. Even better, learn from other people so that you don’t make their mistakes. So far all you have been taught is how to pass a driving test and its up to you to choose how safe you want to be on the roads. The biggest difference between a good driver and a bad driver is attitude and most people appear to have bad attitudes ie they want the bit of paper that makes them legal. Improving their skills beyond that is not on their agenda which is why there are so many accidents.

Where you go from here is your choice!

How about taking measures to prevent this sort of thing happening again :bulb:

Perhaps by investing in an advanced driving course by the IAM or RoSPA

Your local group will be willing to give you a FREE assessment drive if you ask them with no obligation to take up the course

Great idea Rog. Applies to a lot of drivers but most do not want to pay the money and most think they do not need it as I I sure you know.
Should be made compulsory.

Brilliant idea Albion1971, as I didn’t sit an original test and got my licence from a cracker! :unamused:

Beezle I thought someone as bright as you would realise all driving tests are very basic.
They only teach you to pass a simple test and then you are meant to keep learning but most do not.
Surely you notice how poor driving standards are these days.
I know from experience most drivers who go on to take an advanced test or similar will learn where they are going wrong hence usually improving their driving.
It seems there are plenty drivers on the road got their licence out of a cracker.

To a degree albion1971 I do agree with you. But driving standards or the lack of them are not only about knowledge and training. And I’d say the majority of poor driving I see is because those people don’t give a crap about the rules or have any consideration for other roads users. Yes you can send them on an advanced course but can u be sure that once that is passed, they won’t just revert back to form?

I think that the OP car is powered by fairydust and the headlamps have eyelashes.

Hmm meat an 2 veg there then :open_mouth:

Of course Beezle you are quite correct. There will always be the ones that do not give a stuff. They know the rules but choose to ignore them but I would like to think that type are in the minority.
From what I have seen over the years an awful lot of drivers pass their basic test get into bad habits and forget what they should be doing.
Ask any 10 drivers 10 highway code questions and I will bet there will be an awful lot of wrong answers.
You just need to read some of the threads on here to know some have not got a clue and they are meant to be the professionals.

You might be surprised, there are a lot of competent and capable drivers out there, it’s just unfortunate that you only see the incompetent!!!
