wouldn’t worry yourself, I guess less than a 1000 to 1 you will will get a NIP for that, and even if you do it will be a 3 points + £100 + profiteering from insurance companies. Main thing is you have realised your mistake and hopefully will be more careful in future.
I wouldn’t worry about the ones poking fun, they are probably already up to 10 traffic infringements for today alone, breaking the rules is par for the course or many.

You might get done, you might not, what is the point of worrying about it before hand?
Dipper, you aren’t getting a pic of me in a bikini
Because i had hoped to keep a clean licence for as long as I had it
But worrying about it won’t help. May as well wait until something drops through the door, or more likely doesn’t. Worry ages you, get out of the habit and find something nice to think about. Saw an interview with a 100 yer old lady once and the interviewer asked the standard question about passing advice on and she said ’ I wish I had worried less; most of what I worried about never happened anyway’. Worth thinking about?
You do come across as a rather intense type tbf. If you knew some of the stunts we witness on a daily basis in the course of our working days (or nights) youd be absolutely gobsmacked. Most of the moronic, wilful bad driving on our roads goes unpunished, and although your faux-pas was a 9/10 on the dumbass scale, it
s hardly a capital offence. Buck up, resolve to focus (a lot) more on the actual task of driving rather than fretting about Bambis fate/clogging mascara etc., and "crack on!". The chances of you being stripped of your driving privileges are miniscule, but keep letting your concentration drift onto peripheral matters and it
ll become a certainty.
Beav - you are incorrigible - thank God!
No infringements today for me Bluey. I’m off!! (Clean licence too).

What a great thing to think about
I hear many things like that-
A lot of people believe that our worrying and negativity is what creates our dramas
After yesterday I’m inclined to believe that
What started off as me panicking about a candle left on in my caravans, turned in to disaster after disaster shortly thereafter.
They say if we produce negativity to the universe then it’ll create it for us
Law of attraction and all that

made me smile
Pretty much described me to a T
Should’ve seen the mascara yesterday.
Pulled up following the incident , my eldest son crying with disappointment…
I was in floods of tears and reaching for the makeup bag at the same time
I have seen a lot of idiotic drivers on the road- I just never imagined turning into one and as of yesterday, well, dunno what to say really
Cheers ■■■■■■■ mate!! I am way beyond reform fella.
Asked a work colleague once to take the stone out of his shoe. Turned out he had MS. To his credit he found it funny.
Jeanine29:

But it doesn’t matter now. At the end of the day, for what ever reason, you did go through the light on red so if you got caught, you got caught. Its ■■■■ it up time im afraid. If you did get caught then you don’t deserve the clean license you want to have. You’ll have the one that says you ran through a red light. That’s the way it goes. I get the impression you’re looking for advice on how to get away with it. Having a “valid” reason is irrelevant. You cant start deciding that some reasons are justifiable. Within a month you’d have everyone who chanced their arm making up bare faced lies about emergencies to get away with it. Wouldn’t work.
You’re guilty. If you got caught then you got caught. If it WAS the one off you claim then you shouldnt have anythnig else to worry about since you’ll not be doing it again
As for your getting caught for doing 32 in a 30 zone, not buying it im afraid. You were going faster than that

When I worked on the doors I once saw a woman coming up the stairs who was staggering so I told her I couldnt let her in as shed obviously had to much to drink only for her friend to tell me rather indignantly that she actually had spina bifida. I felt like a complete ■■■■■■■■ for about a fortnight afterwards!
Calm down and stop worrying about it, life’s too short for that. Pole in picture appears to be Street light or possibly CCTV camera, there’s no sign of any traffic light camera’s.
If you do get a ticket you’ll have the option of a course which keeps your licence clean. Going to court will cost in excess of £500!!
Went on a course the other week after lights went to amber as I crossed line and back of trailer went through on red, (occupational hazard) most people were there for same thing…mobile phone use.

Sadly I’ll not be offered the course because it had changed to flashing Amber a few seconds after I crossed over, so the red light had been red for a while.
Apparently you only get the course option when it’s the 3 second window
As for making excuses/ I know I’ve done wrong and I hold my hands up to it. However I was distracted by the lady who for some reason was running frantically across the road
( and not to get away from my car either )
It’s definitely a one off too. I wouldn’t jeopardise my licence like that.
Regarding the 32mph. I have pretty much said the same as you when previous partner drove my car and he did 43 in 40
I drive an automatic so down hill the car does jump a few mph ( not making excuses I’m simply stating the truth ) however, I have gone passed speed checks at 38 and it registered 35… Those average speeds have been off several times even when I’m under the limit!!! At one point I had the tyres looked at because I was convinced they were knocking my speedo out ( I hear over inflated tyres can do that )
Until yesterday the speedo has always been off even under the limit so again I’m not making excuses
This is precisely why I would’ve preferred to be stopped by police for the incident - I’m automatically categorised like everyone else regardless of whether I’ve done wrong
Haven’t we all made mistakes ?
Hope all going well I think the only thing you need to worry about dropping on your mat is fan mail once we’ve seen these bikini photos, or something from dipper Dave, but I’d worry more about that than any ticket to be honest lol

Unfortunately it doesn’t matter these days if you’re innocent, guilty or make a genuine mistake, you just have to pay up.
Since I got caught I’ve now had to change my driving style and actually increase speed when approaching green lights so if they do start to change I can get trailer through before they go to red, how safe is that

You’ve all missed the most salient point of the OP. She went back to save a caravan from burning down. What was she thinking of. No wonder she is stressed and on a guilt trip. The traffic light thing is just a smoke screen!

Car speedometer are notoriously inaccurate, they almost always overstate your speed, if your speedo is showing 40 you will probably only be doing a true 37 or 38. I think manufacturers like to do this as it will make your fuel (mpg) figures look better than they are.
But don’t try and compensate for this by driving a few mph over the limit, your car may have an accurate speedometer.
Over inflated tyres may make you speedo show a slightly higher speed, but the differences would be minimal and I doubt you could over inflate them to the extent where you would be unwittingly speeding.

Dude I was having a bad day yesterday
Caravan full of family, kids on a high, bloody glade candle left burning ( away from children on a high ledge so nobody saw that either )
I wouldn’t wanna re-live yesterday’s events again!
As for fan mail and bikini pics
Dave get a g-string on and I’m there with the pics lol deal ?

Yep, Loads, but I wouldn’t go telling Plod about them.
Beavers just having a bit of fun with you & don’t worry about Dave, he’s our resident ‘Snurger’, he asks all the lady’s for a Snapshot [emoji12]

Ha ha sounds like an excuse to me. Do you know what a foot brake does?

No, they do it because they are legally allowed to over-read by up to 10%, but not allowed to under-read. Therefore, they design them to over-read by a bit so that small variations in tolerances don’t take them out of the acceptable window.
Bluey Circles:

Or you can use a GPS speedo, which will give a much more accurate readout than the car speedo.

FTFY…
I’d certainly doubt that you’d be able to over-inflate them to the point where you’d be speeding enough to go over the ACPO’s 10%+2mph prosecution guidelines.
Albion - why do you insist on finding faults in everything I say !?
God forbid when you make a mistake!
I’ve not made any excuses or points that aren’t valid! Until you’re in that situation you can’t judge- and fortunately for you, it wasn’t you who messed up yesterday!
So… Well done you!
