Hi Boatchaser.
SKY HD, its the way forward
Any photos of your Dad or his BET truck will be welcome, even if we contaminate this thread with other companies.
Sky HD We are lucky to get a footir match live Sat and Sun AM, I watch the speedway grand prix live via Jastin TV on the kids laptop, and yes i have some photos of his truck when he was on for BET. Thanks for a great site he would love it

We have my teen Hero coming to our youth grasstrack meeting in July. We asked Ivan Mauger to do a book signing and prize giving, this is just after the Cardiff GP. Tonight it is Poole and Coventry on Sky.

I was a regular at the Boulevard until I discovered girls, lorries and motorcycles I could ride myself. The Vikings went from strength to strength until the late 90,s with my late brother sponsoring the matches. My interest was revived in grasstrack when I met my mate down here, he was British Champion way back when and dabbled in Speedway. His son was successful in solo grasstrack until last year when he took up sidecar speedway.
To get the thread back towards Norman Lewis.
Did you ever see Mel Carr and Keith Richards in the same room?
Hey Simon
That picture of Keith, you and Sponny brought a lump to my throat
That look’s like Tommy Shuttleworth on the left of the pic ■■?
Must have been later in your driving career though.
Keith - what a legend, the mould was definately broken the day that man appeared
NLT was certainly a place that attracted legend’s though, I’ve never know a place that had so many.
PS - I remember that BL Princess in that pic too - 2 very smart gentlemen in the pic
Well done Mssr’s Harris and Haynes
I caught up with Barry Lewis at Christmas time, he said the Dave Martin had been in the week before
So he’s still about somewhere
AND I SPELT SONNY FIELDERS NAME WRONG
■■■■, where did sponny come from■■?

Lovely clean car, did you wash it with Jebsol?
Attempting to put this thread back on topic - here’s another couple of my Photos that are new to the web:
A348MAT as 9511 - must be a good while ago, small yard & no washbay.
Above image is quite rare, the only NLT unit in AGA UK Livery. Early in 1993. at Bardon, near Leicester.
There are more to come, time permitting!
Presume you’ve noticed the new website, a few pics taken from same,
They seem to be doing OK !!
Seen the site today for first time, seen the trucks out on the road, not as noticeable as the old colours, but i suppose thats what they call changing times, but very pleased to here they’re doing ok

One of the later tanks wheelnut ?
Sniffy:
One of the later tanks wheelnut ?
The number is familiar as a single potter, but must have been between me moving on and the company coming off continental work, although it is still fitted with kemler boards
Richard Harrison who went on to work for Bedfords in Birstall rings a bell with that tank!
line up

Hmmm… Dowfreight.
I remember a couple of their drivers… “Steve” the Budapest one-hitter and “Cowboy” who came complete with cowboy hat and boots.
