So I got engaged in conversation with an Isis Distribution driver from Bristol this morning. The topic of conversation got on to Tesco :laughing: :laughing: . I was then told a story of how one of their drivers was tipping there but was short of time (4.5 hours) but had informed Tesco of this before handing over the keys.

Anyway, the driver’s time ran out (of course!) and said driver refused to move. :laughing: An argument ensued with Tesco management and the end result was that the police were called :laughing: . The police escorted the trucker (complete with truck) off site under full police ■■■■■■ :open_mouth: and then Tesco were issued with a £1000 fine for having to provide police ■■■■■■ duties due to their incompetence :confused: :unamused: . Apparently now all Tesco RDCs have to ask you if you have at least 2 hours duty time left on your card, otherwise they will refuse to tip you because the police keep fining them every time they ■■■■■■ an out-of-hours driver off the premises. :laughing:

I tipped at Tesco Teesport yesterday (only3hrs) I most definitly was NOT asked how much
time I had left. Ps. shortest time ever for me at Tesco. regards kevmac47

britvic ,lutterworth has something about not entering unless you have 2hrs [driving/wtd left] on security place when you enter,im sure that was the place i saw it,if it wasnt there it was definately on a security gatehouse somewhere.

i was also told if they keep us there [tesco] for more than 2.5 hrs they get fined by stobarts,same as they fine us if were late,neither probally fine each other as they both ■■■■ in same pot but that came from our t.o,

I’m in most tesco’s chilled RDC’s every week and I’ve not been asked how much time I have left once,so it’s utter bollox! :stuck_out_tongue:

Well I went to a Lidl the other day. I refused to tip myself saying its against my human rights. Thing is it took them so long to tip me I ran out of hours on the bay, two police cars and a VOSA officer later they shut the whole RDC down for 11 hours so as not to disturb me illegally on my rest.

These chrstnuts always give me a smile. If my house gets burgaled I can’t get a copper for 3 days, but if I run out of time at tesco they will come screaming out on blues and two’s to shut the place down :unamused:

Why that :question:
I know some who report to Office,and dropp trailer on bay.Shunter puts the Trailer then from Bay to Parking during driver makes,mostly,outside security Gate his breake.
But the Driver has to tell them he’s going to dropp to do Breake,or his Office clears that matter,otherwise gets Problem.

Being as she’s been dead 25 years I doubt it.

Could you imagine one of those ‘Cops with cameras’ type TV programmes…

It’s the 2 hour window at Tesco!! If you can’t make it on time and you have less than 3 hours left then ask for a trailer swap at said RDC Ady!! :wink:

Rob didn’t post it as gospel, he knows it’s bull as does Malc. He was just asking if this was the latest version of one of the top three driver’s BS stories of all time.
