If anybody hears of any night trunking jobs going South/West Wales can they just drop me a PM or a post on here.
I’ve checked the usual internet sites and haven’t got round to making calls yet (will when I get time) but sometimes word of mouth is better.
Anywhere from Bridgend west and north up to Newtown. (I live near Carmarthen if that’s a better indicator)
I know it’s a bit cheeky but a change in family circumstances is making me have to re assess things a bit as I need to be home more but also pay bills.

They’ve got a few new wagons a couple of 105’s and a couple of new shape Merc’s but whether or not any of them get used on the night trunking I don’t know, I will say though that there kit was always pretty well looked after and at least the CF’s have got manual gearboxes.
The few times I covered the trunk when the regular driver was on holiday I had to use an MP1 Actros shudders

I worked for them about 18 years ago. Still feels like yesterday. I enjoyed working there, but they have a lot of older wagons, that earn a living, that you will be driving if you’re not tramping the new trucks.
Emu just married the boss’s daughter when I worked there. . I hear he runs it now. Bone head is still there as well. I was there around 1996. we might know each other…
Yeah I’m blaming the 9 and the 0 keys being next to each other and my brain being to slow to realise that 95 to 97 was a decade out
Ahh yes Mr Bowen, when I moved to Tandem Transport Clive Bowen fell out big time with Norman (Tandems Transport Manager) for “Poaching” Pearces drivers, thing is I approached Tandem not the other way round

Sounds like things down the valley haven’t changed much…
Yeah sorry I kinda got stuck on the Pearce thing, Owens are always looking, and usually whatever shift pattern you want, they do the lot. and as long as you’ve driven in the last 6 months I doubt you’d have any problem getting work for them, either out of Llanelli, Baglan or Bridgend.
As for the others I couldn’t say but I’m sure yeahboy is right.

There’s good reason why Owens are always looking .
