Yeah sorry I kinda got stuck on the Pearce thing, Owens are always looking, and usually whatever shift pattern you want, they do the lot. and as long as you’ve driven in the last 6 months I doubt you’d have any problem getting work for them, either out of Llanelli, Baglan or Bridgend.As for the others I couldn’t say but I’m sure yeahboy is right.

People say this about Owens but the work is a piece of ■■■■! Light work, easy hours, left alone and new units. I have a friend that drives for them currently and he likes it there. Doesn’t work in the South Wales area though, and I’ve heard they pay different down south than elsewhere

And I recall a thread awhile back regarding them paying the drivers at Droitwich a fair bit more than the Welsh lads/lasses. Must cause a bit of friction I’d of thought.
Anyway a bit of an update - cheers for the suggestions but I’m 99% sure I’m coming out of the industry.
I’ve had a family member taken quite seriously ill and I want to be around a bit more while I can.

Ah there ya go then. Money doesn’t appear to be much worse than anywhere else. For 4 on 4 off. About £450 a week nights
Wouldn’t fancy night work these day’s. The job has been ruined by Highways England. To many road closures and ridiculous diversions!

That’s so true. I had to drive to Hereford a couple of times the other week. The a49 is closed for a month. What a pain in the ■■■. The diversion takes you from Shrewsbury, almost to bridge north and then down back to Craven arms. It’s like 3,000 mile diversion!!

Do you work for them? Is that accurate? Or do they mean per set of 4 shifts on?
(No answer in their phone number so I can’t check direct from the horses mouth yet)

It’s £450 for 4 on 4 off nights there. Not sure about days
