I’ll have another look next time but I’d bet a large amount of money there’s nowt there, seriously.
On a separate note, what does the push lever/button do down the door side of the seat? It’s in the sort of position for an external cupboard door release, but as the truck doesn’t have one… It’s quite stiff to press down. At first I thought it was column adjustment and so I ragged the column about with it depressed, but didn’t do anything .
Our place has taken on 20 Premiums and the steering adjustment is on the column on every one. The button down the side of the seat should be for the side locker. Or should I say, the handle that you pull! The side lockers are barely big enough for a pair of shoes and the handle does take quite a bit of force to open the locker.
Great trucks in my opinion. The engine & gearbox are fantastic. We run at top weight most of the time and the 460 Renaults easily out-pull the remaining 480 Ivecos on the fleet and drive a lot nicer too.
I had one last night (not the same one) and this had adjuster in the usual place, so I’m either going daft or blind or both.
Whilst we’re on the subject of Renault Premiums, how does one reset the air suspension after tipping/loading? I find that with the mid lift button in the middle for ‘auto’ it doesn’t actually do anything useful and constantly has up “NOT IN DRIVE POSITION” warning for air suspension on dash. It gets extremely tedious having to use the manual wander lead adjuster box down the side of the seat every time you load or tip.
I have to confess that the Renault Premium auto is now at the very top of my list of favourite trucks to drive . I even prefer it to anything with a manual box, a Volvo FH/FM or DAF manual . Recalling how much of a ■■■■ box the original Premium was, that is quite some achievement. Well done Renault.

I see that message frequently…I do nothing manually, seems to do it for me!

Just drive off - once its over 10K/mh it will go to ride height
the ride height should reset over 5kph i think?..pain in the arse when you are using one for shunting!
does anyone else manage to switch the headlights off when using the indicators or is it just me?
another thing on ours…drove one earlier in the week and spotted a water leak…from the engine running down and dripping off the bottom hose…
last night another was parked up in the yard and it had the same leak…i checked the other one and it was just starting to leak too so it seems to be something to keep an eye on.

No but I do find the myriad of stalks, buttons, knobs and toggles a bit of a handful. There’s so damned many all hidden by each other that it’s easy to get the wrong one. I keep squirting the windscreen washers when trying to select between auto and manual . Reverse gear is fiddly to select too; having to select drive gear before twisting a separate toggle for reverse sort of makes sense in theory but the position of the toggles on the Renault makes it fiddly.
Whilst I’m on the topic of reverse gear, an agency driver ■■■■■■ me off this morning by taking it upon himself to get set up in my truck whilst I was refuelling it and before I’d done my paperwork and collected my gear. Why he couldn’t have ■■■■■■■ waited for 10 mins I don’t know, but I had the last laugh as the truck was tight facing a fence when I left him and he was still there 10 mins later still trying to work out how to get reverse gear .

Yes all the time they need to put light switch in the dash like most companies do .

I’ve done that too, im sure annoying anyone in front of me in the process lol!
On my rigid theres 3 switches to right of steering colum at my right knee,if the ride height is abnormal due to taking weight off,or ive adjusted it for what ever reason, and the “Not in road position” warning comes on i press the top half of the very left button once and it instantly corrects the ride height to a suitable road position. The very right of the three buttons adjusts the rear suspension height up and down,i dont have a control panel down by the seat on a curly lead.
I also find the lights are easy knocked off when indicating, but you do get use to it.

I think you’ll find that it’s the air-con condensation draining out…ours all do that, bit
disconcerting though!

no…not a/c…it was green and was fixed by retightening some hoseclips according to the defect reports on all 3.

Our Volvo FLs have the Renault controls, I’m always switching off the lights when trying to indicate. Also as they age the reverse gear selector becomes a bit finnicky. It will have an eppy fit where the only way to get reverse is to slowly switch between drive and neutral and back again a couple of times before it will take it.

Workshop manual and Handbook say 10K/mh but i not going to fall out over 5K/mh
