430 Renault Premium Lander 8x4 sleeper chassis is 70k…Volvo 78K…Scania G-cab 430 8x4 85K
Sorry if I got mixed up (on here)with my figures, it might of been the Stella. Since I ordered mine the company I work for have ordered 3 units and 4 8x4’s, they were very pleased with the deal offered. Infact they have one unit on the road it is 1/2 a ton lighter than the scania it replaces (on steels) and first week on the road did 9.2 mpg. Thx mixer driver two for your help with the figures.

p.s. in one of your earlier posts you said that the scania was £3.5k more than the renault but now say £20,000 k which is the right figure.if in doubt about choice ask bewick for his honest opinion. regards,jack.£20,000k would be the more likely figure.
its funny that dave because a scania always seems to be £20,000 more expensive than anything else.my mate runs dafs and guess what there20 grand cheaper than my last scania.but he"s got 410 cf"sand i"ve got r cab 480"s i sat and worked it out and the daf"s were actually 4 grand cheaper BUT he has to buy ad blue and i don"t work that out over 5 years and you get a better picture
once you start to buy parts for your scania egr you will be not that far apart!
i"ve got one that"s two and a half years old and not spent any money on egr part"s yet but the daf"s have used a lot of adblue !
Sorry for my ignorance whats the difference between the kerax and the premium lander or are they both the same?
No…The Kerax is for Heavy duty off road operating…They use them on the opencast mines in S.Wales. Higher ground clearance, heavier springs, stronger bushes and joints etc.
The Premium Lander is a construction site delivery vehicle.
mixer driver too:
I am presuming this is the new Kerax. Looks like it will go anywhere
Yes that’s the K range - The other is the C range.
Steve
I have had my lander on the road for nearly two weeks now. It wiegh’s 11 tonnes and regularly returns above 10mpg (that’s according to the dashboard readout). It is a pleasure to drive,I feel the cab is a little cramped but getting used to that. There has been to be honest one breakdown albeit a minor one already,an air line under the seat blew off but this was quickly resolved by Reno dealer. There was also several other not serious but still annoying problems that I think should of been picked up at the PDI. They have been nearly all sorted now.
Post removed because I was talking nonsense
Did you get the tires sorted?
Yes I went over the salesmans head and things were soon sorted. Bridgestone m840 all round.

still no egr parts purchased but the dafs have pumped a bit of ad blue!
Once its out of warranty Daf adblue systems can be switched off…
I hear lots stories about these modifications working successfully on several other types as well. Bet there are many hundreds of trucks riding about like this it seems to be a no brainer unless you know different ?

I know someone who runs a few trucks that have been ‘de-adblued’. It has no effect on the engine, just needs an electronics tweak. The adblue is just a squirt into the exhaust gases as they leave the engine to make them less harmful to Johnny Polarbear. All trucks have passed their mot’s since.

I’ve never seen a truck fail the diesel smoke test. As Hammer said Ad-Blue is a post burn treatment for exhaust gases so removing the ad-blue wont impede an engine at all.
technology today.marvelous.pump ■■■■ into exhaust to remove pollutants.wow.
