Culina market Drayton have sacked two that I know of,for comments put on Facebook.

Wipe your nose ‘son’ its browner than a chocolate gatteau
This has quite possibly been the best thread I have ever read…nice one!! Just wish I’d taken some pictures when I worked for stobbies to send to ady/mo that he could photoshop himself into…
All computers and phones should have a breathalyser fitted.
The amount of inappropriate texts or Facebook and forum comments after a few shandys that have landed people in the crap must be staggering.
EBay should do this too that way I wouldn’t be going to wet bridge on Sunday to collect a 1984 jaguar xj6 with no mot.

Met some people who brown nose their bosses before but never known people to do it to a boss of a firm they can’t even work for!

Ican see it soon being in the Stobart contract that drivers are not allowed to engage in social media!
Some companies already have that - to the extent that their employee’s are not allowed to discuss their job or company business on the interweb - and it specificly says to do so would be deemed Gross misconduct and lead to instant dismissal,
- but the interweb is only a bit of fun- until you lose your job after a daft posting, and it has happened Which is why I shout time and time again - think before you post/publish- you never know who is reading
AMEN to that rikki son, i once got into trouble for mentioning another driver pulling a moonie

I think if I was an employer this would be the route I’d take. The amount of people who bite the hand that feeds them by airing their dirty laundry in public shocks me
It can work the other way too though. Virginia and to a certain extent “Irish Haulage” have had a very positive slant on them through you. OK so they have a guy that’s a bit of a big head in one of their trucks whose driver has a flat cap obsession and is a bit nuts but hey, I bet there wouldn’t be many drivers on here that would say they wouldn’t want to work for Virginia. Through your good work for the company on the network of the world old chap, they probably have drivers ringing them up interested in working for them because they like what they see through your ramblings and that way (if they choose wisely) they get to pick the better drivers to work for them ! ■■■■ IT !

+1 as think if I was living in or could base myself with an Irish firm Virginia would be on top of the list because of above. ‘Never grumble just trundle’ ( u can have that for free Luke, lol )

Which is why I shout time and time again - think before you take any notice of what you read- you never know who is posting, it could be a van driver with a Stobart fetish
There you go, fixed that for ya
The scary part of this is that in his 3800+ posts Ady1 has no doubt given people advice, having no knowledge of the job, other than that which he learned talking to drivers, so his advice could lead to someone making a mistake, which could cost them their job, a fine or even get somebody hurt
I was beginning to wonder about some of the questions asked and some of the answers on here, how everything is so dangerous, how the most basic problems become disasters of epidemic proportions, but now I’m not so sure that it was drivers making the posts, much more likely that it was some idiot with delusions of grandeur or a kid with a parental lock on his computer so instead of ■■■■ they’re pretending to be lorry drivers
PS. Saamon, what colour is your van

get a grip, all there bothered about is you get the job done, you can say what you like on here there not bothered, your really putting far too much importance of the standing within the haulage industry of trucknet,it means nothing to my bosses, there not bothered as long as the load gets from A-B,i doubt there stupid enough to believe anything thats said on here, too many folks becomming parnoid about big brother watching .
anyway if your confident in your abilities why worry, they can take your job off you but not your lisence, theres always something out there,6 sacked a few weeks ago for fuel theft, all got new jobs within days
Who are they working for now? Domino’s or Papa John’s?
no ady got them a pukka job at stobarts (washing the trucks) because hes such good mates with andy and willy

Why thank you gentlemens
Brilliant, ady1’s first post after his mental breakdown starts with ‘get a grip’. From a man who’s grasp on reality is almost non-existent at best.
Doubting myself now
