My Stobart dream realised

I still have a donkey, I’m only 16 and from Bucharest, my g/f back home is pregnant and working my donkey here pays more than donkey work back home. I dream of getting a cart for my donkey then I can do more loads

Well I no longer am Longman to be honest, need to work out how to change my name to wideman!

Longman.

I’m Cliff, and I’m an express motorcycle courier from Driffield. I dream of owning a bike with enough power so that I can go on a real motorway. :arrow_right:

In my best years I looked like this and I only drive this but dream of being a real driver one day!

You know I said I was going to work for Stobart back in April and you all thought I was joking? Well the day has come, I’ve my lovely G400 manual low cab, Dawn Marie. It’s a real beauty to drive and much better than my previous shed.

luke kev condom told me you had the contract to ship them over to dublin, you lucky sod.

The Stobart people will be pee’d off soon. This thread will have more posts than the truck and trailers mega thread page.

I can see it soon being in the Stobart contract that drivers are not allowed to engage in social media!

Some companies already have that - to the extent that their employee’s are not allowed to discuss their job or company business on the interweb - and it specificly says to do so would be deemed Gross misconduct and lead to instant dismissal,

  • but the interweb is only a bit of fun- until you lose your job after a daft posting, and it has happened  Which is why I shout time and time again - think before you post/publish- you never know who is reading

I think if I was an employer this would be the route I’d take. The amount of people who bite the hand that feeds them by airing their dirty laundry in public shocks me. I imagine they think they’ll get what they want to shut them up when obviously in reality they are more likely to get the sack.

Do you think that rule could be extended to ban them from performing for the Channel 5 cameras too??

Think I might know just the man :open_mouth: .

I also know an ex Widdowsons driver that got the sack from stobarts for saying on twitter that the staff at Britvic Lutterworth are a useless bunch of back doors (so to speak) as he rang me to see if there was work at our place!!

Some saddos are always watching!! Bless!!

Hope all is well spannerman, keep my eye out for you still on the road!!
