Sorry to hear that mate, unfortunately a real easy thing to do, especially if you are not getting a bit of driving in between tests.

Hope that you are able to keep at it !!!

G

Keep at it wills…

Sorry to hear the news mate

You will get there mate.I known how you feel,i messed up class 2 and class 1 tests first time round but you have to keep on going.

“keep right on !”

Sorry mate ,but as other have written YOU will pass, all the best and we all will be watching this space to hear from you, take care.

sorry to hear that wills.
but keep at it mate. you know you can do it.

Sorry to hear about your test result wills :frowning: .
All the best with the retest

AAwwwww Wills,
So sorry you didn’t pass.
It’s an awful feeling and I understand that need to throw the towel in. But you know that you’ve come way to far for that!
I know money is the issue, like it was with a lot of us but as soon as you’ve passed you’ll make that money back. And one day you will pass.

All the best

sorry to hear the news - stick with it

Sorry to hear that you didn’t pass.
Keep at it mate.

Thanx all of you, really appreciate all your comments

I will not give up i’ll promise you that!! I have come too far. My mate is offering to back me for the next 1, but unless CTT will sort a good lesson before Test (the 15mins yesterday wasnt enough after a 3week gap). I am going to get some more c class experience 1st , I’ve got to be more comfortable with the 4+4 box before i’ll be happy to go again!!

wills

Bad Luck Wills - Im really GUTTED for you  I dona a similar thing on my first attempt at the class 1 - I was doing the gear change excercise, going up to 5th OK, but coming down, i was in 5th and forgot the switch and instead of fourth i got eighth :open_mouth: :open_mouth: Realised what i done before i let the clutch out but it was too late :open_mouth:

When i done my retest i had a full day beforehand and boy was it worth it!! Gets you back into swing of things etc

I dont wanna know when your retest is, JUST GO FOR IT AND LET US KNOW THAT YOU PASSED and when you do you wont stop smiling for weeks :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing:

GOOD LUCK MATE AND ILL HAVE A FEW ‘ALHAMBRA RESERVAS’ FOR YA WHEN YOU PASS :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing:

hi will’s mate, sorry to hear you didn’t pass mate…i know what you mean with the 4 over 4 gearbox as thats whats in the rigid that i’ll be training and being tested in on 3rd august…blooming awkward aren’t they, i was expecting a straight 6 (no such luck pmsl) got in truck and nearly had heart attack when he told me pmsl.
you WILL pass mate, and i think ur spot on with wanting to get class 2 exp first as it seems thats the thing most letting you down is gear changes which you’ll easily get used to in rigid… Couple of days driving one and it’ll be second nature (as you got everything else down to a T) and YOU’LL be getting PAID to learn the one thing letting u down mate!
Oh and your NOT boring us buddy.

Really sorry to hear it Wills i was kinda hoping that we could of both had a good week,“keep right on” mate,if you recall i failed on gears but i can assure you it was spot on next time, get back on that horse wills and eventually we will have a beer somewhere to celebrate

Wills,

What can I say mate… apart from CARRY ON.

Often the actual difference between a pass & a fail is so tiny it’s not worth thinking about - the reality is… it knocks us for six (but not for long).

I’m a newbie also… but if positivity from other ‘Trucknet’ers’ is anything to go by - you’ll be fine captain!

Keep smilin…

Sorry to hear the bad news Wills. :frowning: :frowning: but I’m glad you are carrying on

I’m sure you’ll crack it next time…

well I phoned CTT, & they agreed with me that “15mins drive before test, was no good to man nor beast!!!” they will see what they can do for my re-test but they have nothing available @ the moment.

I feel much better in myself now, but I must admit to getting very frustrated everytime I see an artic, “i can drive that” i here myself saying, & eventually I will be!!!

many thanx welsh zebra,TheStonesman - your right it is a very fine line, & the positive comments from everyone on here really does give me a massive lift.

Cheers jackdaw I’ll hold to that drink pal

RookieTrucker - certainly are, I remember my 1st lessons & i was all over the place, but by the end of the week I was quite comfortable with them. But having my test cancelled lost me the edge I’m sure of it. Getting paid to learn is definatly the right step too take @ this point.

Delboy98 thanx loads - Still cant believe I actually did what I did, I’ve never done that on an hill start before!!! But definatly agree on hours behind the wheel before test, its the only thing I can fault CTT on. And I will not tell anyone on next re-test, re-tests I will just post my Pass.

Alright mate.
I phoned CTT on Friday and they said that they did not do assement drives and the course would cost £595 + £89 for test fee if on weekday or £109 if on weekend.
Did you have an assement drive with them? You mentioned earlier that you paid £645 for your course. Did that include test fee??
Mate keep trying and you will get there!!
