Hi all,
iv been looking over this forum for a few months now eagerly awaiting my chance to get behind the drivers seat and start trucking.
I was 18 yesterday so went out with my “L” plates on and enjoyed every second of it
then today I have passed my HGV multiple choice with 87 out of 100 (pass mark is 85), and passed my HGV hazard perception test with 75 out of 100 (pass mark is 67) which I am pleased about.
Tomorrow I have my writing part of the Initial CPC and also waiting on booking my training and test ASAP.
hope to see you all out on the road soon !!
(mind you dont drive behind me as ill be driving an Animal By-products Lorry ;D)

He’ll be referring to the Mod 2 which is the case studies test for the initial driver cpc. It’s not literally written; it’s all on computer.
But drivers with grandfather rights escape this and simply need to complete 35 hours of periodic training (no test or exams) before Sept 2014. Typically, these are the drivers who passed a car test before 1997 and, as a consequence, hold a C1.
So I passed my car test in 1990 got C1E on my licence so do I need to go for theory test and hp or not? got it booked on the 08/02/2013 at Boston Lincs

There are 4 modules with number 1 split in two
You only need modules 1 and 3
1a - theory
1b - HPT
2 - dcpc theory
3 - practical road drive/reverse etc
4 - dcpc practical
well just to update everyone my uncle has been training me up to drive a lorry over the last few weeks, well I booked a test for friday 15th feb turned up quite nervous but gave it my best shot i only failed the test on one major thing (not checking my blind spot before moving off) overall I was impressed with how close I was, so rebooked another test at Leicester LGV for Wednesday 20th feb and glad to say that I Passed with 9 minors but considering I had a very close call with a woman cutting me off when she was in a bus lane and several idiot drivers along with a truck which kept jumping out of gear , I’m over the moon !! following that I made a call to CRH Transport Training and got an afternoon of training for my CPC Module 4 for Friday 22nd and the Module 4 test today (Saturday 23rd), well I Passed that aswell with 100% . so now im all legal to drive and got a few small jobs at work lined up on Monday morning so pictures will follow many thanks to the guys at CRH Transport training, Peter Smythe transport training (sorry for messing you guys about but will be booking up with you in the next few months for my C+E), the Guys at Leicester LGV and my Uncle for training me up.
