ORYS! Help

Nolan employ a lot of foreigners thats for sure… Big big firm but IMO not a well run one.

Dont want to give them bad publicity but if you aint passed your test yet and you go there and they give you a job I can see them taking the ■■■■ and making you do stuff which you cant do.

independent.ie/national-news … 50644.html ← - - - One of there drivers. Also they were investogated for having no certificated/licences for certain trailers etc etc… Also werent they fined a few years back for about £90k EUROS for falsyifying tachos, missing mileage etc etc…?

They deliver to my place on a regular basis… ratchel straps seem to be an optinal extra

Ahh Nolans, what memories! T’was my first truck driving job.

aka paddy betz i belive

Kemaro, Do you have a 10 foot barge pole? If so don’t use it

I’d say if they offered you a job take it. It won’t be easy and they are not particulary nice people to work for but you’d learn more in 1 year there than you would in 10 working for most British companies. I think it was a great start for me personally.

You could always drop down to Carmarthen cattle market on a Friday and ask one of the many Nolans’ drivers who are being held by Vosa till they’ve completed their rest periods!

Thats because the link has been put on an enforced daily rest by VOSA as well…

I can’t swear on here but they are just horrible horrible people. If you running late Noel would be on the phone ■■■■■■ this ■■■■■■ that, arguements with them are a daily occurence.

BUT! If it’s his first job it would be a good start, everything is easier after them, in my current job they are the complete opposite. Having that first year experance at Nolans on my CV has been a plus for me.

VOSA get them at Tormaton,M4 exit weighbridge for Bath. They tug about 5 trucks at a time.Guess for rest period checks.

ok sorry for bringing up an old post but was wondering who are the best southern irish to work for nowdays, yes they gonna ask for blood as all companys, but who has best tackle and reasonable bosses, as im considering changing my £300pw  coach job up for one as i feel i can get more.

Virginia Transport. We’re the best by far!

One of your Virginia guys was at Sainsbury’s Basingstoke today Luke…i looked to see if it was you but sadly not :frowning:

A pal of mine rang nolans a few years back asking if they had any jobs going, they asked him how long he could stay awake for,he said 24hrs told him they weren’t looking for any day men and put the phone down.
