looking at the first pic threr just coming up to the cove junction so i would say the shopping trolly could have droped back a bit and still made the southbound lane
katie-darlo:
i think the morrisons driver should learn how to handle one of there shopping trolleys before been let out on the road.
you shoud know the wheels on shopping trolleys have a mind of their own and go where they want
I am always a bit suspicious of times when a friend is able to take such photos, being there at the right time and place
A cynic may wonder if the intention of the pics originally was to show 2 or three (depending on how you read the posts) low loaders in convoy.
perhaps the last low loader was keen to stay in convoy and resented the Morrisons driver getting in between and spoiling the shot.
The pics themselves do not show what went on beforehand, it is possible that the low loader driver actually came down the inside and took the space the morrisons driver was aiming for.
The only people who KNOW what happened are the ones who were there, so throwing insults and accusations at the Morrisons driver is a bit pointless, he may be on another forum compaining loudly about low loader drivers.
Besides which, we all make mistakes now and then.
Wether they had an ■■■■■■ is neither here nor there…it’s the Morrisons driver who is being impatient. What for another minute he would have been able to upset everyone southbound on the A90 at his 45 / 50 MPH to his favorite layby
3 Trucks !!!
This just gets better !!! Why is the second vehicle in the ‘convoy’ blocking two lanes? I also notice the Volvo has just got in too. If it looked like the Morrisons driver may of been at fault before, it certainley looks like they’re peventing him from getting over now . Thats the way i see it anyway.

this shows that there wasnt a gap for the morrisons driver to get into and that he is just being impatiant

I agree with Mike C here. Yes I don’t know the road, but it looks to me like the morrisons waggon is trying to get past all 3 slow moving vehs on a dual carrageway and that the numpty in low loader 2 is just being an idiot and blocking both lanes.
Looking at the gap between the 1st and 2nd low loader, I would also guess that the 2nd one has deliberatly backed off to make sure that mr Morrisons has no-where to go.
I can see no reason for truck no 2 to block both lanes other than to be a complete arse
Being involved in low-loader work I would say the reason the second truck is straddling the lane to stop others getting by as the first truck needs room to take the slip road…
As has already been said in above post they did not have an ■■■■■■ vehicle…so do you think he is being an arse■■? Think he is doing it correctly…if a “fellow” truck driver can’t tell that three trucks carrying some machinery which is all the same colour and in BIG bits are travelling in convoy and its on rear steer low loader trailers…then he should be stacking the shelves of said store…not delivering the goods…
Morrisons man needs to chill and try doing some “real” work, instead of just being a chauffeur who is not allowed in the back of his trailer!!!

yes but the morrisons driver is still at fault here even if number 2 truck is stopping him passing, the road is a dual carraigeway and not a narrow one so why was he shoving truck 3 off the road.
as for truck 2 he could be stopping the morrisons truck passing for a few reasons.
-
there could be a roundabout coming up and thats all truck1 needs up its side, a blooming shopping trolley
-
there might not be enough room for truck 1 and morrisons to pass each other due to the load
thing si we will never know whats going on. only the guy who took the photos will know what is past where the pics are, and folk who know the road.
after seeing the rest of"the evidence",i think it could be both parties at fault here.
the morrisons driver should not have put himself in that predicament in the first place, knowing how far off the slip he wants to be off is coming up quickly.
looking at the second photo,i think possibly the last low loader could have backed off a little,he knew the morrisons driver had nowhere to go at that point his mate pulled out.■■■ for tat i now think.

I think you’re spot on mate.
Does anyone have a google maps or maps.live link of this supposed slip road they were all fighting for that apparently needs 18 lanes of space for artics to get round?
Link… ■■

Well said that man
I think there is a few on here who want to take a look at a steering low loader going into a corner and see exactly how much room we do need.

why■■?
surely youve got better things to do with your time than analyse somebody elses actions, the “incident” is long past now, and had nothing to do with any of us on here anyway.
build a bridge lads…and get over it
why would morrison want to overtake when he was close to the slip he was coming off at, the low loader did well to keep his mirror, not the type of thing i like to see from pro,s

Question for you, or rather for the rear low loader driver. We can agree (maybe, because we can’t see) that the morrisons lorry has left it late, but, why did the rear low loader driver choose driving into the kerb or verge as an option rather than ease off and let the Morrisons lorry in? The fotographs clearly show he has not let up at all and is holding his pace?
here it is
the road has changed a little but i belive the trucks in the pictures are just coming up to the junction with the road on the left

This is from the bloke who took the pictures “don’t think the morrison’s driver was happy at not getting passed he was running up the arse of the other daf which was runnin shot gun so he cut up the 2nd daf”
I cant tell if he was braking or not …wasn’t behind him, but JUST Remember he has double the weight of a normal truck to stop
Thats why they run with a safe gap between

Here’s a better view of it. They are going to go south on the A90, round that long sweeping bend.
And although there is roadworks on it, thats pretty much how i seen it a fortnight ago when i was there.
Can I just trow my bit in.
As I understand it, each vehicle is an invidual. As such, the driver is responsible ONLY for his / her actions.
If another truck pulls in suddenly, then you should drive defensively, and that in this case means backing off. So point one is that Heavy #2 is wrong.
A driver should be aware of his / her vehicle length, and as such, Mr Morrison was not paying enough attention to the vehicles around him and pulled in too early. So point two is that Mr Morrison is wrong.
So it appears to me that both Mr Morrison and Heavy #2 are not driving according to the situation and are both at fault.
Am I allowed to say that??
