Im just comparing it to computers and mobile phones. When the first mobiles came out,I had a contract with one2one,the phone they gave me only lasted 5 hours before it needed recharging.Just think how much the technology will advance in the next 10 years.
There’s a vote next week on whether they allow e-fuels or Frankenstein fuels into the mix as EU ministers call them, Not looking good.
Electric trucks were available in the 1920’s but faded away as diesel engine trucks became more popular. The railways were once all steam but gave way to diesel electric loco’s. But now diesels are the bad guys.
If God didn’t want us to use oil why did he make it so easy to find ?

Fire in a multi storey car at Luton airport after an explosion.
They are blaming a diesel car…because we ALL know diesel cars (that are now coincidentally the pariah of cars ) have always been prone to exploding for no reason…where as modern electric cars are not, and it would do no good to the campaign to have negative publicity.
Draw your own conclusions.
Why do you and every other person seem to think that cars just explode in flames? when was the last time you saw a car explode randomly? A fire starts, either through some kind of fuel leak onto hot exhaust, hot DPF or maybe a wiring short circuit (ICE cars have wiring and batteries too btw) then the car begins to burn, there’s a whole car full of flammable stuff before it gets anywhere near the fuel tank.
For the record there was 239 EV car fires recorded in 2022 compared to just shy of 300000 EV’s sold, 0.08% While over 100,000 ICE car fires were reported out of 784000 sales, 12.75%

Talk about lies, dammed lies and statistics!
You can’t compare fires to sales for EVs (which have a small volume of population of existing vehicles) with ICE for which there is a huge population of existing vehicles! Also, which statistics do hybrid vehicle fires fall into?
Cab kinda looks like a cheap fridge lol.

How do you know they’re lies? Unless you know the true statistics you can just speculate, the same as all of us.

It’s clear that nuclear and burning trees for biomass and covering green fields in solar panels all to reduce the CO2 that plants turn into Oxygen are Satan’s idea.

FFS… Say EVs were introduced this year and 1000 were sold and one went up in flames. Say ICE cars have been on sale since 1908, 10,000 were sold last year, but there’s a population of 40 million on the UK roads.
Comparing fires to sales is just pointless.

Sploom:
.The deisel engine is noisy, inefficient and pollutes the air to a great extent. You REALLY need to stop readily and automatically believing and regurgitating every [zb] thing that bodies of authority dictate to you mate, and come to conclusions of your OWN.
Modern diesel engines are of the cleanest running they have ever been, the damage has been done by older and much less efficient versions.
Petrol engines are now around as efficient as diesel engines and cleaner.
The rest all depends on whether anyone believes that CO2 is anything other than a life giving gas that plants exchange for Oxygen.
Also burning living trees is better than burning long dead ones in that regard.
Or that the planet has an excess CO2 problem
as opposed to a CO2 and thereby Oxygen shortage because of deforestation and urbanisation.
To which Sploom’s solution is let’s burn trees for biomass and wipe out our fields under solar panels and turn the place into an irradiated nuclear waste dump to reduce CO2 even more.
