Another great photo, where the hell do you get them from? These motors were a regular site on the road as were the Carticks at the rail heads.

Hi Mat Man. So has the depot gone? Is TEPS still there and the concrete plant? It is a shame that the company has dropped clean off the radar. I was on the computer the other day trying to find some history of the company but there is nothing now. My old base MIFT in Manchester is not the same, there are 3 sheds for sale and Hausers have moved out. I can honestly say that I would love to turn the clock back to those glory days when MAT was at it’s peak.

thats it all gone now.teps is still there carlc but nomore reminders of mat as you come into hull now.

Hullo Lads,
I’ve just had a gander at the old MAT depot in Freightliner Road on Google Earth. The old depot is still there and still being used by the look of it, although you can’t just get close enough to see a lot of detail. The old trailer park is still there also, although it looks as if the front part of it is some sort of a scrap yard. Opposite the old out gate is a couple of Industrial buildings Clearways Consevatory Roof. TEPS is still there as well. The Cement Works is now Tarmac. When I’m back in the UK, and we go down to Hull shopping, I must go and have another look. I know that Clarkie has a Commercial Garage down off the Dock Road somewhere, it may be Eastern Commercials, Raven Street., and is still working, mind you he’s getting old now, he was 65 in June, I know as I sometimes talk to his Wife Glynis on here.
Cheers, Archie.
