good old vulture media plastering these pictures all over the place , rip and condolences to the family
If the bus was in that lane for 10 minutes full of passengers before impact then quite frankly the bus driver needs to answer some very serious questions.

That’s what I’m thinking. Fog lights or no fog lights that bus should have been long empty.

Why are people so [zb] quick to blame? Someone died for [zb] sake. Give it a rest.+1
+2. It has happened, they may not have even swept the debris off the road and confirmed the peoples injuries AND YET some already ‘know’ all the facts. Give it a rest and let the injured and bereaved a chance to come to terms with it.

49 year old bus driver arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving
Im a coach driver and my sympathies extend to all who were involved in this tragic accident.
this can be a hard one for the driver to call depending on the exact area of the accident he might have thought it better to remain on the bus and await rescue.
roadwork signs usually say in the event of a breakdown stay in your vehicle until help arrives
I think that all the speculation is fruitless and ill judged. Surely the fact that some one has died is the most crucial part of this story, and my condolences go to his family. I wish all the best to the truck driver, a speedy recovery, and support to his family at this testing time. It is clear that the police know what has happenned, and to this end WE, thats WE should leave them to it. Surely, importantly for both the Haulage, and Passenger carrying industry, is that the papers will be full again of adverse publicity - in particular towards us. The public on seeing the photo will assume the lorry was being driven like a bat out of hell, to make such an impact into a bus. Remember this… everytime we ( as truckers) have a serious collision, our public image is tarnished - irrespective of the blame - at this stage. We need the public support to gain better facilities for drivers, a fairer price for fuel, and no further, stringent - some may say over the top legislation against us.
Let the police, and the medics do their jobs, and lets concentrate on getting from A to b, without damage to any of us.
What people who think they know it all is
I live about a mile from the the crash site. At 6am this morning we had very very thick fog. I could not see my car on the driveway from my window!!!
RIP.
He said: "At 6:12am, a 999 call was made by a concerned member of the public about a coach having broken down on lane one of the M5 south.
"The Highways Agency did the appropriate signage on the network and dispatched their resources to the scene of the broken down coach as is normal practice.
"However, unfortunately at 6:24 hours a further call was received to say that a large goods vehicle had collided into the rear of the coach.
“Motorway police officers were immediately dispatched and arrived at the scene six minutes later and then assisted colleagues from the Highways Agency, the ambulance service and fire service to manage the scene.”
Surely the police should have been immediately dispatched from the first call as it was stranded in a live lane? If’s buts and maybe’s, but if that had been done in the first place the likely hood an incident occurring would have been greatly reduced, 16 mins is a long time to be sat in a live lane without assistance IMHO.
Bus driver now charged with dangerous driving…bus had broke down in the slow lane…other motorists had warned the police an accident waiting to happen…

I don`t think so. A bit soon for that
"The driver of a coach involved in a crash with a lorry on a motorway leaving one person dead and 39 hurt has been arrested.
Police said the man, 49, has been bailed after the collision in fog, on the M5 in the West Midlands."

Must add thou, the bus driver should of evacuated that bus as soon as it broke down, or that is what I am led to believe he should of done
RIP the person who died, Hope the FW driver is going to be ok, and same to the other injured
Hiya…why ask the bus driver about getting out of the bus!!! sitting there for 12 mins knowing traffic is still on the move
and the door was on the near side, I’d be off like a shot onto the grass bank. the people may have been getting off when the inpact happened thats why so many passangers have been injured. just hope they all recover, one death is more than enough.
RIP mate…you’ve been taken to soon
John
looks to me like the bus was going for the safety of the hard shoulder this side of the bridge and with it being uphill ran out of steam before getting there and then having nowhere to go.should of stopped sooner hence the arrest. RIP to the poor soul that lost his life
jonboy
