Why are people so ■■■■■■■ quick to blame? Someone died for ■■■■■ sake. Give it a rest.
its not good to blame any one at this early stage could have been a number of senarios including the bus losing all its air pressure and the brakes coming on hence he / she might not have been able to get the refuge area
so lets not start blaming anyone just yet guys

it`s just a discusion about an event.
Unfortunately the authorities no longer believe there is no blame hence the re-naming of RTA to Road Traffic Collision in their jargon, they say someone has to be at fault in some way and its no longer an accident, which previously meant no one could be at fault. They may come to a conclusion that they can’t point blame to anyone because of a lack of facts and collision debris, skid marks etc, this will all come out later once investigations are carried out, someone has died so at the moment blame shouldn’t be directed anywhere and thoughts should be with the dead and their relatives.
I have to agree though I heard the news early this morning and the report was a lorry had collided with a bus and thats before they even knew the correct location, time or casualties, news reporting especially the BBC should take a neutral role until facts have been determined. Franky.

Bit more of an updated version!
Not even a coach, just a local bus.
Penelope Morgan was in the middle lane: “The fog was really thick. The lights on the coach were not visible at all. No fog lights at all”

fog lights dont tend to work very well on the rear of coaches after a rear end collision with a 44t wagon
just saying

She saw the coach (ex bus) before the collision.

Coach was broken down, could have been electrical failure so no lights anyway…
But that’s only an assumption, like all the other “facts” on here so best I shut up…

From the rather vague details available so far, it sounds like the coach broke down in lane 1 and was there for about ten minutes before the accident. I cannot understand why the bus was not evacuated. Who in their right mind is gonna sit in a knackered old bus in the middle of a motorway in fog and darkness and believe they are in a safe place? And it’s very unlikely the lights on the bus were very bright or even clean.

+2. It has happened, they may not have even swept the debris off the road and confirmed the peoples injuries AND YET some already ‘know’ all the facts. Give it a rest and let the injured and bereaved a chance to come to terms with it.
Hiya …look at the photos’ theres no hard shoulder to get onto because of the bridge.
years ago the motorway was only 2 lanes where the crash happened, the hardshoulder was
made into the slow lane but where the bridges are theres no hardsoulder.
all the road tax we pay but none goes on the roads. we have to struggle with make do’s.
i don’t like this using the hard shoulder on busy motorways one day ther’ll be a disaster
with that idea…BUT it saves money… its a joke…i feel sorry for the guy who lost his life.
get well the rest of you.

news said coach broke down in lane 1 in roadworks?maybe no hard shoulder? Not been that way for a while so not too sure what the setup is through the roadworks, but if it was just cones you would of thought the driver of the coach would of just rolled through the cones and got out of the way! Destroy a few cones or be a sitting duck on the motorway?! Baffles me at the moment as to why he has seemed to of come to a stop in the outside lane!
Alas, until we know what actually happened we cannot really blame anyone!
You can’t do that. I nearly got nicked when had a blow out in roadworks last year which ripped a hole in one of the air bags. I went through the cones to get out of the way and some jumped up nob head came running over, screaming and shouting saying its a criminal offence to do that and he’s phoning the police
