OP, If you are in the habit of sending these communications I think you need to read up on the ‘Offensive Communications Act’

No such Act exists in this country. I suspect you are referring to the Malicious Communications Act 1988, but even then the content as stated in the OP doesn’t fall under S1 of that Act as it is not “Indecent or grossly offensive”. (Referring to someone as a “prick” is probably offensive, but not grossly so - and even if it was, the intent of the author is an essential component of an offence under this Act).

I’ve just had a quick look through the OP’s blog from the link in his signature -

It would appear that this isn’t the first time another driver has “tried to murder him”. It seems to be quite a regular occurrence.

What a plonker.

There seems to be quite a lot of camera shots taken on the move on that blog too.

contra flow: you must live on a different planet, how do you expect me to take pictures of an incident in progress or that has just happened, do you drive with a camera glued to your hand(you are basically calling me a liar which shows what you trully are).If so then I pity your driving skills, as for the message being typed, people you have s self rightious attitude here and it stinks. I will not post a complete message with all the persons details on this forum as yes it was private. Everything is fine unless it happens to you then we are all supposed to be sorry it happened to you but when it happens to someone else then they are a fair game. I suggest you all look in the mirror and see the reflection since you all seem to have a ‘halo’ above your heads. Stevebarnsleytrucker, you are beyond comments, I could say something but I won’t bother, people like you and the rest of this crowd have a place in this world and it flushes.

Why are you STILL angry about something that happened 2 days ago? You have anger
management issues and driving for a living is not for you if you can’t quickly put this kind of thing behind you within a few mins of it happening and move on. The Waberer driver made a mistake/poor judgement/didn’t see you in his blind spot/whatever. [zb] happens to us all at some point or another. No-one died or got injured. Get over it.

Totally agree with rob here, chill out mate let it go,life’s too short.

I don’t get that, both crawling, his indicator was on from the start, why not just let him slot in?

Bad truck driver…I guess that is the one doing the videoing?
FFS, he’s indicating and the moron with the camera starts to leave a gap for him only to try and shut it when the truck starts to move over.
Sometimes I despair of the idiots we share the roads with.

It’s the pedal in the middle, tool!!!

Oh dear, yet another idiot with a camera :frowning:

That’s London for ya! You can have your indicator on for half hour and still no ■■■■ will let you in :unamused: every man for himself down there and I bet the prick videoing it all has never cut in front of anyone or blocked anyone’s way,as that’s all they all seem to do on Laaandans free flowing roads

Paul H dont forget to shut the door on the way out

And calling others W’s and P’s for their driving abilities and techniques within his blog. Obviously doesn’t like others sharing the road with him.

Yet another time I agree with Rob K serious comments. Don’t think he’ll last a lifetime in this industry without having an heart attack!

Got to relax OP, otherwise all those driving, will take your life another way and it won’t be by hitting your cab. I would hate to know what your blood pressure is like especially after writing that letter.

As everyone rightly pointed out, you was never going to get a satisfactory response using words that you post in your blog typically.

Why did you waste the time on an email or even the cost of a stamp if you posted it and let yourself down using unprofessional words?! Surely that time would have been better spent with your wife and children, forgetting the incident, rather than writing all that rubbish for it to be thrown away or deleted within a second!

Writing a letter like that, enables the company to ignore the original complaint and never solve the problems at hand. Well thought out and implemented :unamused:

Hi all. I am the IDIOT with the camera, I have it as too many cars pull in front of me and brake hard. after a nasty headon crash I had last year in the M1, I brought this to save my [zp] if it happens again.
As for the footage on utube, I were allowing a gap to open for him to pull into while allowing the traffic in my lane to still keep moving how ever he still move over when I was half way up his trailer.

Tin hat on

If you we’re allowing him a gap then why did you carry on going at the same speed as him when the gap was not big enough for him to pull into. You said you were allowing him a gap so you accept you we’re letting him move into the lane you were in so you should have just let him pull in and waited, ■■■■ the traffic behind you and what they thought. It was you who made the decision to allow the truck into your lane.

I’d say that’s the root of all your inter-lane difficulties. It’s not your lane any more than it’s mine. It’s piece of road that you’re using.

If you’re in lane three of a motorway and somebody flashes you out of the way do you:

A: Brake-test them.

B: Move out of the way.

C: Don’t be daft, why would I be there unless I was overtaking?

If this roger hunt of a driver got under your skin why didnt you follow him ? pull him out the cab and rearange his looks and then kindly explain his mistake…

Today I have sent this company my scaled down thoughts.

To whom it may concern.

One of your drivers almost killed me on Saturday 22 June 2013 . . .

Unfortunately, witnessing bad driving is all too common.

You have to put it behind you and move on as soon as you can, otherwise
it can affect your own driving.

Don’t bother with letters, buy yourself a camera.

You’re “Very Lucky to be Alive” . . . so celebrate it.

Something similar happened me this morning, single carriageway, 90kph, minding my own business when a van coming opposite comes across the road, forcing me in on the hard shoulder, and barely missed the back of my trailer.
So after my lucky escape I did what I felt was the right and normal thing that any of us would do having just had a near death experience.
I hit resume on the cruise control and got on with my life.
